Come along and give our preschool a wave, the children have been working hard creating for our float and will be continuing next week too on the run up to carnival day next Saturday 🤩

The children loved taking part last week ❤️ so far our total is £150 🤩 thank you to our families and their little ones for your support.

A special thank you to Sarah Boogie Beat Music & Movement North Wiltshire for an amazing teddy themed session which our little ones loved.

The children have begun decorating for our carnival float, we will be entering a lorry in the Melksham carnival on Sat 13th July.

Children are invited to join us dressed as bugs, butterflies, creepy crawlies for our bugs and butterfly theme.

Please can we ask parents to let Maria or Abi know should you wish to join us for the parade as dependent on numbers we can increase the lorry size so important that we know how many families might attend much appreciated 😊

Tomorrow is our charity cake sale raising money for Julia’s house.

Totally random ask, the preschool are entering the Melksham Carnival and so are after some strong cardboard boxes to make bug shapes out of for the children to decorate for our float.....if any has any they no longer need I would appreciate any donations thanks in advance 😊

This week the children will be raising funds for Julia's House Children's Hospice, a charity very close to one of our families hearts and taking part in their Big Teddy Takeover event. We have lots of teddy themed activities planned including teddy bears picnics, bring your teddy to preschool, a teddy themed music session with Boogie Beat Music & Movement North Wiltshire on Wednesday and a cake sale on Friday afternoon 😊

We have been very lucky to have won an Amazon voucher from Julia's House so will be having a cheque presentation in setting on Thursday and not forgetting a visit from their PR team too and more photos for our preschool children on Friday with a 2nd visit this term from Red Rabbit Photography 🥰

Hi to all,

We have decided to enter the Melksham Carnival on Saturday 13th July – our vision is a Bug Theme !

We are hoping to get hold of a tractor and trailer or a van and trailer or lorry but failing this we will be on foot. Preschool parents and their children are invited to come along and join us for this event !

If you have any bug related items we can use on our float, green material or sturdy cardboard then donations are most welcome, please do pop these along to preschool during preschool hours. Should you wish us to collect then please give us a shout thank you in advance 😊

We would love everyone to dress up including adults even if its just a hat on an adult !

Exciting times – this will be such a fun achievement and a way of bringing publicity for the preschool and raising funds for the Melksham area too.

We currently have some spaces available to join our preschool from September 2024 for little ones aged from 2-4 years. We are a parent committee preschool running during term time and situated on the site of St Marys School in the village of Broughton Gifford.

Broughton Gifford Preschool currently has limited spaces available from September 2024 for little ones aged 2, 3 and 4 years old. We are a term time only parent committee run preschool in the grounds of St Mary's School in the village.

We follow your little ones interests and are a child led setting. The preschool is set in a lodge with a large outdoor play area and access to a wooded area to the rear of the preschool. We received a Good Ofsted rating in January 2023.

Today we held an Easter Event for our preschool families to raise funds for upcoming trips for our little ones. We had lots of activities for them to enjoy which included hook a duck, biscuit decorating, bunny masks, lucky dip, pin the tail on the donkey, cake sale, Easter bonnet parade, egg decorating competition and much more.

We had some lambs join us too and a special guest visit from Peter Rabbit 🤩

Today is Rare Disease Day and we would like to share a link which gives more information about Jouberts Syndrome.

Joubert syndrome is a rare genetic disorder characterized by decreased muscle tone, difficulties with coordination, abnormal eye movements, abnormal breathing patterns, and intellectual disability. These issues are due to abnormal brain development, resulting in decreased size of the cerebellar vermis and other brain abnormalities that appear as the “molar tooth sign” on a brain MRI. Although rare, several hundred individuals with Joubert syndrome have been reported in the medical literature. Mutations in at least 35 genes cause Joubert syndrome.

Vacancy for Preschool Cleaner

We currently have a vacancy for a preschool cleaner at Broughton Gifford Preschool.

This role is a term time only role however there may be the opportunity to carry out some deeper cleaning during the school holidays.

Hours are 1.5 hours a week which are to be carried out on a Friday after 3.30pm or over a weekend in readiness for the setting reopening on a Monday morning.

This role is subject to DBS clearance.
