Karen and I were lucky enough to go and visit Ellicar gardens this week to learn more about Swimming ponds and natural swimming pools. The weather being nice (for a change) we managed to have a dip. Wonderful crystal clear water and the odd cheeky stickle back fish. https://www.ellicar.co.uk

A bit more work in progress. I am enjoying this planting combination in a client’s garden. The creeping thyme is slowly filling the gaps. Looking forward to seeing it flower.

Just been carrying out some renovation pruning on a Bay shrub for a client. It had become a bit of a blob blocking the view down their garden. Should be great once it has a bit more growth on top to balance it out.

After ten years, we were thrilled to be invited back to this gorgeous garden in Richmond. Renovating and re-planting after Bindweed and other pernicious weeds had overtaken the original planting. Can't argue with that grape vine - framed view - stunning!

Really pleased to see the SGD spearheading a campaign to ban plastic grass & plants.
These products release harmful plastic microfibres into the environment, these ultimately end up in our soil and water courses. They can't be recycled and use precious fossil fuels to make.

On a visit to Middlesbrough yesterday I was pleased to see that the cutting back of the frequency of mowing of some of the suburban verges has given breathing space for these little beauties to pop up. I counted over 100 in a 50m stretch. Ps not my photo, mine was too blurry. 😀
