ONLINE CONSULTATION

Unfortunately the online consultation is bias in favour of parking charges, the multiple choice questions do not give you the option to select “no parking charges” and only offers the options of 2 hours, 1 hour, 30 minutes or no free parking!

Apparently they didn't want to confuse us by giving us the option to select “no parking charges” 😡

Therefore any data collected will be floored and serve only to justify their pre-determined decision.

It is obvious from this that the decisions have already been made and this consultation is constructed to create the answers the council need, they could have saved a lot of time by simply asking:

Do you agree with parking charges?
Select
A- Yes
B- Yes

Realistically we know the result will be a BANES report that states 100% of residents prefer 2 hours free parking, this is clearly not the case as 100% of residents are against any form of parking charges.

I am very disappointed with the approach taken and the final report will have no basis for an informed decision.

If you use the online consultation please be clear in the comments that you are "AGAINST ALL PARKING CHARGES"

It appears over night that our new signage has gained some unwanted attention on social media as a group of independent small businesses we are trying our very best to slowly improve Holly court unfortunately for us we have an absent landlord and a small pot of pennies to play with!

Rome wasn’t built in a day and we are making gradual improvements whilst all running our own businesses, your support and custom is what will make changes happen. Thanks for the lovely comments and compliments we’ve received so far”

PARKING CHARGES - MEETING TONIGHT!

We are now in the public consultation period for parking charges in Midsomer Norton, all objections must be submitted by 8th August.

WE NEED EVERYONE TO OJBECT!
This meeting is to explain all of the issues and provide help with submitting an Objection.

Of course we will as usual discuss other issues within our town.

NEW SEASON, NEW HOURS 🧡
9 months in to our new life with this biz baby and it's time to do a little tweaky tweak to get things working more efficiently, and (real talk alert) make sure we can make it through the potentially quieter summer months to be with you through the winter and for many to come.
NGL times are tough as a small business owner right now and the hike in SO many of our direct costs have been...ouchy to say the least! So, we've done a lot of assessing the figures, the data around when you guys love to visit and when it's been less rockin' up in here, and we've trimmed the hours to fit those trends.
Nothing is set in stone, and of course the huge beauty of being a tiny business is that we can flex and move with the times and the punches- if you guys feed back to us that you really want a certain session to reappear then we'll reassess the situ.
In the meantime, thanks in advance for keeping coming along, and for spreading the word about us and everything we're doing to make The Den the loveliest most parent-friendly spot 🧡 Love ya!!
