Another happy customer here at 'The Handy Hubby'.

Our client wanted to replace all of her old grey doors with new white doors. She chose the Linear range from Howdens and complimented them with Jigtech polished chrome handles, hinges and latches from the Kone range.

It's always nice to receive such positive feedback on completion of the job 😄

Another decking replacement project completed.

This involved the removal of the existing decking, screening panels and support posts. Parts of the subframe also had to be replaced.

The new decking was installed in a diagonal pattern with a curved perimeter. This was then treated with clear coat anti-slip decking oil.

The walls and fencing were jet washed and the transformation of this corner of the customers garden was complete.

It's been a few weeks of decking replacement, maintenance and repairs here at The Handy Hubby.

This decking looked tired and in need of some love. We started with a good jet wash, brush down and hoover. This was followed by two coats of clear anti-slip decking oil applied by brush, which ensured the oil was worked into all areas of the wood.

The finished decking looks lovely 😄

It isn't always possible to show the work that we do, but here are a couple of small jobs that we have done recently.

Sometimes the simple jobs are the best.

This weekend we have built an 8' x 8' decking base for a new shed, resealed a bathroom, two kitchen worktops and a sink, a back door and three windows.

Lots of happy customers which is always nice to see 😄

It's been a busy few weeks here at The Handy Hubby.

This decking replacement job turned out to be far more work than expected when we discovered large parts of the sub frame had rotted. Once all of that had been replaced and levelled up we got to work with the new decking.

It's been a really busy time here at The Handy Hubby lately.

Everything from TV mounts, replacing skirting boards, decking repairs and maintenance, decorating, jet washing, patio repointing, window and door frames being resealed and flooring installations.

Patio cleaning is all part of the service here at The Handy Hubby.
These porcelain tiles had moss in every joint and a few stubborn stains, but they came up like new.
It's a shame the rain didn't stop for the photos 😀

We get all sorts of requests here at The Handy Hubby - this customer wanted a bespoke shoe box for a recessed area in the hallway. Made from MDF and ready for painting to match the existing decoration.

65" Sky Glass TV installed.

These come with their own wall mount and it is essential that you keep the wall template. At 28kg it would be extremely difficult to line the TV up on the bracket without the template to guide you.

Sometimes the smallest jobs take longer than expected. This wooden bath panel had to be cut on three sides to keep it symmetrical and then the top had to be rebated to fit under the lip of the bath.
It was worth the effort though and looks great.
Also put some glass shelves up to finish the bathroom look.

Door replacement completed 😃

6 new internal doors supplied and fitted with polished chrome hinges and door handles.
These doors were from Wickes and came already finished in pure brilliant white.

Garden transformation completed 😄

This was quite a job, removed all existing paving and raised borders, levelled the ground, dug a soakaway, installed drainage channels, supplied and fitted a new gate and laid 220 slabs. All finished off with LED's and spotlights.

Front garden reclaimed - A very happy customer 😃

Overgrown trees removed and existing hedge trimmed back, allowing more light into the front rooms.

Rubber flooring installed for home gym - 9m x 4m area covered

These tiles are 1m x 1m square and 20mm thick, non-slip and due to the composition they are ideal for the impact of using heavy weights and other gym equipment.
