I love it when I wake up at stupid O clock as my mind always thinks clearly in the early hours of the day! Had a faulty fuel gauge and was thinking the day before, s**t I am going to have to get a new fuel pump! Then this morning it came to me like a spark! I bet there is only one manufacturer of the actual gauge and that my old 2 stroke tank gauge has the exact same parts in it....a quick look in my Aladdin's cave and found the tank and hell yer, it's an exact match! Saved myself 300 big ones and back on the road as good as new!
On a sunny day like this, I had to take some time out!She always looks good in the sun
These add some shark attack to the front end. If I roll with these I will make these matte carbon fiber to match all
So using 3d scanning has given me a new zest for ideas. Here is a crazy idea I had this morning for a subframe front fin in carbon fiber. Just printing this prototype as we insta
So had a hall pass this weekend and did a job that I have had on the back burner for over 3 years. 150cc Crankshaft and forged piston install! It's one of those jobs you start on a moment of madness and 30min in realize you shouldn't off started...but after some holy s**t Amazon purchases and some very small softly softly kind of work it's back on the road and running better than ever!
Just had to take another photo...
When your fuel gauge starts acting strange and you spend the day re wiring it ..... To only find out the contacts on the fuel pump just needed adjusting..π€―π so gave it a clean and works and looks a treat
Had to pop out in this weather βοΈπ to and the turnout was epic !
Swapped the NOS tank for the lighter one just because I can π...also need to get the large one refilled..still looks pimp
Amazing day out with with lots of chat. Came up with a new idea for front steering damper which may come about in the future....
I almost forgot how good the silver looks in the sunshine!!
So had a nice long ride in the sun and all is good with the modified front fender and larger front wheel. It amazes me how much bigger the Michelin 110/70 is compared to the duro 100/60??
Modified the front fender to work with the larger front tyre, still need to make some small changes and get it printed from PAHT Carbon Fiber filament and then skin with CF. Same look as the old but maybe less off a mudguard π
New front tyre day....no duro tyre available so went with a match to the rear...it's a lot bigger than my previous duro so still thinking it over...
Like bee's to honey π― she never fails to pull a crowd
Ok so after two weeks of mounting and trying to get the pirelli to stop sliding on the rim....I lost my cool...and decided to cut the fffing thing off and put the Michelin city grip on. I looked inside the pirelli and compared it to the Michelin and noted the inside edge (which is where it sits when stretched ) has no grip to it at all compared to the Michelin. (Michelin is on top and Pirelli on the bottom in the image) To make the pirelli work you should sand down the lip to add the grip and this still may not work! For extra confidence I am going to try the Michelin with an inner tube...maybe this time it may be a good result....
After putting the rear tyre in a bath tub of water to check for leaks, she has the all clear for takeoff. Ready for some sunny days riding πͺπΌπ
Slowly getting this beast ready to roll! Love these wheel nuts from the wheel from has gone all black night on me and I LOVE IT π€©
Sun is out so had to give her a spin!
Worth the wait on this mod...just got to try and work out the spacer size and get it powder coated in satin black !
Gas station standard shot..had to be done
Loving the tron vibe these side wings give the ruckus.
These came out nice, still some tweaking to do but the shape the led makes on the side profile is pimp as.
Just developed a low rider version of my side panels. This model works perfectly for rucksters wanting to keep it low and prevents any drag on tight cornering. As I live in Milton keynes aka round about land, and I am planning on lowering the rear shock, this gives me a better clearance....and adds to the shape/design. What do you guys think?
Needed some small hands to do this plumbing job! But managed after taking off the TB and have just tested it and it put a smile on my face. Also added some bling to the rear fender design. Almost ready to put this beast away for winter..π
These seat hinge covers are the perfect stocking filler..will be added to my shop later tomorrow FYI
So after 10-15 prototypes it looks like this rear mudguard mount is ready to go to the cnc shop..
Birthday trip out to with my little friend.
First prototype printed and thinking this could be a good idea, it's a little too wide and needs some changes to the radius but for a 1.5 day print time it's not bad for the first mockup
