Fulfilling Divine Purpose

I could not help thinking about this scripture as I watched Queen Elizabeth II body move from Balmoral this morning to her final resting place in London. 1 Kings 2 vs 10-12.

We could all relate with the sadness that we have all felt at losing loved ones and doing that journey from home to the final resting place. May the Holy Spirit strengthen the Royal family and our nation during this hour.

Living out such an honourable life, fulfilling ones purpose that she was born into with such excellence! It is only at the end of the race that we can reflect on the fullness of the extent that a life was well lived with its challenges and all. It is when we get to fully appreciate the great impact it had in the world and the servitude it accomplished.

Owning your home in your lifetime is something that almost everyone desires. It gives a sense of security, peace and stability to any family. Rising property prices and strict requirements that need to be met can often discourage many who are in the throws of experiencing life start to feel hopeless or discouraged at how they are going to get to accomplish this goal.

The Israelites were displaced foe many years and one of the things that kept them going was the word of God for them and His promises over their lives. What this did was continue to stir up their faith and encourage them to take the necessary actions they were asked to in Obedience, trusting that God was leading them to an expected end.

“The Lord your God will soon bring you into the land he swore to give you when he made a vow to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It is a land with large, prosperous cities that you did not build. The houses will be richly stocked with goods you did not produce. You will draw water from cisterns you did not dig, and you will eat from vineyards and olive trees you did not plant. When you have eaten your fill in this land, be careful not to forget the Lord, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt.

What a beautiful promise to encourage one to keep believing. Are you believing that you will own your home too one day? The last few years in the UK has seen what for many was divine intervention through the government Help to but scheme and the stamp duty break. Many actualized this dream.

As the HTB scheme is coming to an end and you are nowhere near achieving your dream you can start to feel discouraged that you missed it and so you will continue to be priced out!

You keep doing what you need to do with saving your deposit/looking for extra income streams to save money, improve or keep your credit score clean and keep an eye out for opportunities to come up. When the time is right for you and the window is open, have the courage to move. Have the end goal in mind and imagine getting this text in your inbox or email. Even though you may not be sure of all the details of exactly how it is going to manifest- Believe that It's Happening and walk into it!

SHARED OWNERSHIP-A WAY IN- DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU!

Shared ownership and shared equity schemes whilst they have their limitations in that you do not own 100% stake in the property, present a really viable and realistic opportunity for many to get on to the property ladder. Half a loaf is better than nothing they say!

Having a low income and a big family, being a lone parent and therefore having all bills leaning on you are just some of the reasons that can make these types of lending schemes right for you.

It is wonderful to have helped one of our clients staircase to having 100% equity in her property at a time that she was ready and financially comfortable to do so.

A year of victory through resilience!
We would like to send you best wishes during this festive time and thank you for connecting with us in the various ways that you have throughout the year.
As I was reflecting on the year the other morning, after receiving news of one of the most complicated series of mortgages I have ever had to deal with completing, I thought that a statement that would sum the year up for me was “Victory through resilience.”

Between navigating the working at home scenarios, homeschooling, positive covid testing, constant lender underwriting changes- it has certainly been a time of mental fitness testing which I am sure many can resonate with.

Deciding to bounce back, try another way, wait a while and ultimately not give up on what you want to achieve or accomplish is an art that we are all constantly being trained in when we decide to onboard the lessons and add them to our belt of strengths.

I began to think about the story of a young shepherd boy called David who at a time his nation was faced with a giant called Goliath, decided not to run away like everyone else but chose to face the giant head-on. What gave him the confidence was that he had faced attacks from bears and lions before and he had won over them. David knew that he had bigger backing that was working for him rather than against him. He was able to topple Goliath down and attain victory for his nation.

You too may have faced many challenges this year. Some may have made you feel like quitting and some of the battles may have taken a lot of strength out of you. My end of year prayer for you is that all the obstacles and challenges that you have experienced do not go to waste but lead you to accomplish some of your greatest financial victories in the years to come.

May you recuperate and heal from any traumas and tragedies that you may have experienced. May you enjoy the victories and successes you have managed to attain and may you live long to experience the full blessing of them.
May the new year give you the courage to fearlessly go and face some of the Goliath goals and targets that you have and may you see victory!

In our business, we help people to accomplish their financial plans and goals. In this season particularly...I have felt the testing and trials of bring a broker more than before. Sandwiched in between negotiations for you clients and presenting them in a way that helps them get past the finishing line. I have had to use my coaching and pastoral skills more than ever before!

Very often, the going gets tough and one may feel they want to quit as requirements change , extra information is requested and your faith is tested . Lives, behaviours and lifestyle patterns are judged and put under the magnifying glass and weighed out for a resounding yes or no decision from underwriters!

Over the years I have found that the people who have the smoothest experiences are those who are best prepared for the journey through careful planning. As they embark on undertakings, they are able to consistently detach themselves from the potential emotional roller coaster ride by not being double minded about what they want to accomplish and keep focused on the prize.

They have everything set on what they want and oblige to the process until they reach the finishing line. They trust God and that things are working out for them, ready to push when pushing is required and pause when it is time to stop. Things not always work first time round out but they are poised to make it because they determine not to give up!

I want to encourage you today to remember why you started that business, why you took on that job, why you wrote those books, why you are saving that money and missing out on some of the things others seem to be enjoying. You will get there...its not time for your dreams to die.

But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

You know you were born to teach when you get another level of buzz when someone uses the information you give them and it transforms their mind and inspires them to do greater things.

There is no upset, threat or feeling of jealousy when students accomplish greater feats than you because you have accomplished your task and fulfilled your purpose.

I always get upset when people say you should not learn from people who have not been where they are teaching you about. Absolute nonsense. It is one of the greatest calls.

Theirs was simply to prepare the way and pave the path for the next generation to run whilst they were on their own journey.

Take time out today to honour a teacher/mentor who has been pivotal in your life. You may not have made it this far without them and the wisdom and knowledge they imparted to you.
