Huge thanks to Abdul and the team from Morpeth Tandoori for their generous donation of a defibrillator this evening. We had a great training session with players, coaches and parents delivered by First Aid North East

We hope we never need it but we know we are better prepared if we do.

Great turn out across our teams and seeing youngsters getting hands on is brilliant!

Tonight we were out in the community at Bedlington, where we were proud to donate a defibrillator to Bedlington FC and take part in the AED + CPR training course provided by Chris from First Aid North East ⚽️❤️

A big shoutout to everyone who came down, especially the young team members who got stuck in with the session. Well done 👏🏽

Abdul has been campaigning and fundraising over the past few years to get these life saving defibrillators into local football clubs. Evenings like this are the culmination of all this hard work, and it’s great to be making a difference within our communities.

Abdul moved to Morpeth more than 40 years ago, and has lived and worked here ever since. He is passionate about the town and people in this wonderful community.

He opened Morpeth Tandoori in 1983, and has been cooking delicious curries, answering the phone and meeting lovely people ever since.

Out of the kitchen he enjoys fishing and football, but he’s a Manchester United supporter so we won’t talk much about that 🤫
