🍔 Love tomato ketchup on your chips, burgers and lots of other foods? Think again! 🚫🍟
Did you know that too much tomato ketchup can be bad for your oral health?
It’s loaded with sugar!!
A single tablespoon of ketchup can contain up to 4 grams of sugar. That’s almost a teaspoon! 😱
Excess sugar can lead to tooth decay, cavities, and other dental problems.
Next time you reach for that ketchup bottle, remember – moderation is key!
Opt for healthier alternatives like fresh tomatoes or homemade sauces with less sugar to keep your teeth cavity free!
Hope that helps ✨🦷❤️
Just received a wonderful surprise in the post from Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) – a charity very close to my heart.
Feeling incredibly grateful for this thoughtful gift! 🍫💖 As it’s chocolate, I’ll be sharing the joy and, of course, brushing up on dental care after enjoying it! 🪥
Thank you, for the sweet gesture and for all the incredible work you do!

☀️ Remember to stay hydrated!
With the sun shining bright, it’s crucial to keep those water bottles handy.
Hydration isn’t just about quenching your thirst, it’s about keeping your body functioning at its best. And your mouth 👄 moist 💦.
So whether you’re out for a stroll or soaking up the rays in the garden. Drink plenty of water and stay refreshed!
💧Rinsing your mouth after using an inhaler 💨
helps prevent Candida albicans overgrowth by removing any medication residue that can contribute
to an imbalance in mouth flora 👄
✨ Hope that help’s ✨
Really looking forward to this event. Want to come along too?
Periodontal disease (gum disease) is not just an oral health issue; it's linked to significant systemic diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis.
🩸Inflammation in your gums can signal or exacerbate broader health problems.
🪥 Good oral hygiene through regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups is crucial for your overall health.
Protect your wellbeing by taking care of your gums 😁
“Let’s make every drop count! 💦
🚰 Remember to turn off the tap while brushing your teeth.
This simple act can save up to 30 liters of water each day. Together, we can make a huge difference in conserving our precious water resources.

🚭 **National No Smoking Day, UK!** 🚭
🌈 On this significant day, let’s shed light on the lesser-discussed yet severe impacts of smoking on our oral health:
🛑 Gum Disease**: Smokers face a higher risk of gum disease, leading to tooth loss and severe pain.
🛑 Oral Cancer**: To***co use is a leading cause of oral cancer, a deadly disease if not detected early.
🛑 Stained Teeth**: Say goodbye to your bright smile as smoking leaves yellow and brown stains on your teeth.
🛑 Bad Breath**: Constant bad breath becomes a stubborn companion, affecting personal and professional interactions.
🌟 **Your Journey to Quit Begins Today!** 🌟
Embrace the support around you, from friends to professional help, and take the first step towards a healthier, smoke-free life. Your mouth (and body) will thank you for it!
Let’s celebrate National No Smoking Day by choosing health, happiness, and a brighter future. 💪💙

🚭 Breaking News 🚭
Today, I want to applaud the UK Government for their monumental decision to ban the sale of disposable vapes and ni****ne pouches. 🚫🚬 This is a massive leap forward in our journey towards better public health and a tobacco-free future!
💡 Why is this such a big deal?
1️⃣ Protecting our Youth: Disposable vapes and ni****ne pouches have been enticing younger generations into ni****ne addiction. This ban will help shield our youth from the harmful effects of ni****ne and give them a better chance at a healthier life.
2️⃣ Reducing Harm: By taking disposable vapes and ni****ne pouches off the market, we're decreasing the availability of these products, ultimately reducing the harm caused by tobacco-related illnesses.
3️⃣ Environmentally Friendly: Let's not forget the environmental impact! These disposable items contribute to pollution. With this ban, we're not only safeguarding our health but also protecting our planet.
As a dental hygienist, I've seen firsthand the damage that smoking and ni****ne addiction can do to oral health. This ban is a step in the right direction, and I couldn't be happier! 🦷👏

🌟🦷 FUN FACT FRIDAY 🪥🦷🌟
Did you know that milk teeth start forming before a baby is even born?
These baby teeth begin their development while the baby is in the womb, around six weeks into pregnancy🤰🏽 But they only start to emerge through the gums, a process known as teething, between 6 to 12 months after birth.
This early development is crucial for proper alignment and spacing of adult teeth later on. So, when a baby tooth makes its first appearance, it's celebrating 🥳 a journey that started long before!
🦷🌟This patient has a metal bar retainer behind her front teeth after having invisalign braces, so flossing isn't an option.
Interdental brushes are the answer 🦷🤩
