I went on a family trip to Cragside the other day, and I decided to take my camera along. I thought I would take some snap shots and get some needed practice in, as I haven't used the camera in ages. I wasn't expecting to take anything worth sharing, but I quite like this one. Its not too bad considering it was just a quick snap shot, no filters, stitching etc. I hope you like it.

PS - Cragside is a beautiful place, I highly recommend it! 🙂

I am part of a very special Photographic Exhibition next month. It is a charity event organised by Morpeth Matters to raise money towards Tiny Lives based at the RVI hospital. It has been a pleasure to be asked to enter 11 of my images to go on sale for this great cause.
All profits go towards the charity.

Sugar Sands beach day two.
I went back with the idea of photographing the famous wire fence going out to sea.
The tide was perfect for photographing the fence yesterday, but I wasn't happy with the quality of the images that I got, the light wasn't great.
The tide times were meant to be similar to yesterday, but for some reason when I arrived at 4am it was out, and no where near the fence. But never mind, these things happen.
On the plus side I got these two images instead. 🙂

I had my first visit to a beach called 'Sugar Sands' today. It is one of the more secluded coastlines in Northumberland, and I have only recently been made aware of it.
The carpark unfortunately has a gate which closes at 6.30pm, and opens after sunrise. With before sunrise being the time I usually photograph I had to abandon my car in an awkward place, and walk a short distance. But it was totally worth it!! It is a STUNNING beach.
I am hoping to go back at some point this week to get some different images. 🤞

Hareshaw Linn, Bellingham, Northumberland.

This is one of my favourite places to visit when the weather isn't great. You have about a 2 mile walk through ancient woodland before you reach the waterfall. It feels magical, and if fairies existed thats where they would choose to live.

My Farne Island Images have had over 1000 likes on the Hidden Northumberland fb page. I didn’t predict such positive attention, it’s great and a huge confidence boost.

I am lucky enough to live a short drive away from the Farne islands, and I make it a priority to visit yearly. This season I went on the all day visit, and a sunset cruise with Morpeth Camera Club. Even though I go every year I never get bored of it. The birds (especially the puffins) are such wonderful characters, and are good fun to watch and photograph. If you have never been before I highly recommend it!

I used my canon 6D and 100-400mm lens. After 6 hours of solid photo taking my arm was aching really bad, so I think I may invest in a monopod to save my weakling of an arm next time.

I took a huge amount of images on those days, over 3000 if you can believe it! It has took some time looking though them and I have managed to whittle it down to 31. I hope you enjoy the images and if you do please hit the like button and if you wish follow my page.
