Birds Eye view of my clients monthly MOT!
During this 60 minute session we do 30 minutes on the back focusing on shoulder/traps due an old rotator cuff injury causing extreme tightness.
The other 30 minutes we focus on loosening off hamstring, caves, quads and pecks.

2 YEARS OF NW MASSAGETHERAPY!!
(say happy birthday)
2 years ago on the 19th of July 2022 I took the leap of starting my own massage / sports therapy business after 2 years of studying a HND in Sports therapy.
I have built up the most amazing clientele and I appreciate everyone of my clients for there continued support❤️
During the past 2 years I have achieved lots.
I completed 2 years at Queen Margaret University studying Sport Rehabilitation (allowing me to specialise in MSK).
During these 2 years studying I worked with the best of the best within the industry!! I began working in elite sport along side the Glasgow Warriors for a few weeks. Then I worked with and 1st team physio for the second half of the 22/23 season! I then got a placement working with working in a private clinic which was a real eye opener and I loved it!!
Fast forward to now where I’m working as a sports therapist doing a job I love!
This is just the beginning!
I’m so excited for the future🫶
BACK MOT🏋️♀️💆♀️
My client presented with right sided lower back pain. As you can see within the video we worked on the full back but I really focused on QL and the erector spinae muscles.

Medial tibial stress syndrome AKA Shin splints!
One of the most common injuries I see especially within runners.
Shin splints is the pain and tenderness along or just behind the shin bone in the lower leg which is caused by stress (overload/ training).
These exercises will help strengthen the ankle & lower legs muscles such as: gastrocnemius, soleus & tibialis anterior🏃🏼♀️

When you see mum and gran get a massage and wonder when it’s your turn🤣
Pre event massage is a must for me and should be a must for you👇
Why? Because it reduces tightness and stiffness within the joint and surrounding muscles. Enabling you to have fresh, light legs in this case for a race!
Pre event massage should ideally take place 48-72 hours pre event.
Good morning down at the Manchester institute of health & performance.
Learning more about shockwave therapy for the lower limb.
Also met some really interesting people within the industry which was a bonus🙌
Had a great night last night promoting informing some of the gym memebers on the treatment we offer and why.
Are you feeling stiff during your training?
I can help with that!
Client was suffering with stiffness in their pecs, when doing specific exercises such as pec flys and chest press. In this video you can see I’m working on their upper back (lats, rhomboids, rotator cuffs, traps) and pecs. Ultimately, the treatment consisted of sports massage techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, METS (active release) and stretching.
