👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ (For the healthcare professionals out there): After assessing him, we decided to scan to grade his medial calf tear and check for any aponeurosis involvement (as you can see lovely tear extending jnto the aponeurosis). As depending on tissue involved and where the tear is can change our rehab management.

🩻 Ultrasound helps us to get a better understanding of and more detail of an injury.

💪This helps us form a better plan for a patient going forward to reduce the chance of re-injury and get you back to what you love to do sooner rather than later

🩻 Confirmed a meniscus tear on ultrasound (2nd pic to see)

ℹ️ Patient been struggling to walk due to pain in his right knee the past 3 months! Awaiting to see orthopaedics but no time on when he will see them (already waited 2 months!)

💉We carried out an ultrasound guided jag and drained 24ml of fluid off his knee. Followed by a cortisone / corticosteroid jag to relieve and keep pain at bay.

🎉results in no pain for the first time in 3 months!

Will still need to see orthopaedics as this doesn't cure it, but with long waiting times, it can just help get people through
