Research shows that leaky gut syndrome plays a role in the development or exacerbation of several health conditions, from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), to neurological conditions like Alzheimer's, and a host of autoimmune diseases.

But what exactly is leaky gut?

Picture the intestinal lining as a finely meshed net with tiny holes that only permit specific substances to pass through. When this "net" is damaged, the holes may enlarge, allowing harmful bacteria, toxins, and undigested food particles to seep into the bloodstream. This breach can trigger inflammation, immune reactions, and contribute to a spectrum of diseases.

One significant contributor to leaky gut is the food we eat. Here are eight dietary culprits often linked to the development of leaky gut:
🐄 Dairy: For those with lactose intolerance, dairy can trigger bloating, gas, and diarrhoea, leading to inflammation. Furthermore, additives like hormones and antibiotics in dairy products can disrupt gut health.
🌾 Gluten: Found in wheat, barley, and rye, gluten impacts the gut lining, especially in those with sensitivities or celiac disease, potentially causing leaky gut through its interaction with zonulin, a regulatory protein.

Ingredients
• 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
• 1/2 cup chia seeds
