Our Doggy Paw & Nose Balms are perfect for moisturising those paws and noses all year round 🐢 🐾

Our balm is 100% natural and lick safe for our furry four legged friends. It soothes, moisturises and protects, so it’s great for nourishing and preventing dry, cracked noses and paws.

Our Cocker Spaniel, Teddy, certainly approves and thoroughly enjoys a little pamper and massage when it’s applied πŸ₯°

Our Doggy Paw & Nose Balms are £5 each and are available to order now. We do also stock them in our honesty box too 🍯🐝

Here are some of our favourite uses for our beeswax bars practically around the house and in traditional crafts 🐝

Reusable Food Wrap:
Not so keen on using plastic cling film but still want to keep your food fresh in the fridge, or in packed lunches for your little ones? One of the lesser known uses for beeswax is that in can be used to make reusable food wraps!

This is not only a lovely, non-toxic option to use, but it also looks really pretty and saves money because you can wash and re-use over and over again.

Have a look online at some videos of how to have a go at doing your own.

Furniture Polish:
One use you’ll have probably guessed or heard about already is using beeswax as furniture polish. This is a perfect natural and traditional alternative to chemical-based products and gives your furniture, or wood projects, a very smooth and rich finish, as well as an effective layer of protection.

Homemade Crayons:
Perfect for making at home and customising a selection of your own colours.

All you’ll need for this is a bar of beeswax, a bar of soap, some food colouring and setting molds.

Melt the soap and beeswax together, add food colouring until you reach the desired pigment. Lightly grease your molds before pouring in your crayon mixture. Allow to set and then they’re ready to use!

Hinge Lubricant:
One of the most popular household uses for our beeswax bars is to lubricate any squeaky or stiff doors, drawers and windows through the house for a quick and easy fix – making this product a bit of a tool kit essential!

All you have to do it coat the hinge or runner in question with the beeswax and there you have it – good as new! This will also help to prevent and remove any rust build up too!

Natural Beeswax Candles:
If you’ve purchased and enjoyed our candles so much that you’d like to have a go at making your own, our 100% beeswax bars are exactly what you need. Just melt the bar down, get some silicone moulds and candle wick and away you go.

Our Beeswax Bars are £3 each and are available to order or can be purchased from our honesty box 🐝

Welcome to Bear Crossing Honey 🍯🐝

What started off as a keen hobby soon developed quickly into a family orientated run business that was founded in 2020. My wife takes care of the admin, marketing and sales and I look after the management of the colonies, breeding and the general dogsbody stuff 🀣. Our 3 year old daughter, Mia, is our apprentice and chief honey taster! πŸ˜‹

We produce local honey from the Staffordshire and Shropshire areas, using cold extraction techniques to preserve the health benefits of natural honey. We also breed queens from our most productive colonies, that demonstrate both hygienic and docile behaviour, whilst giving a good yield on honey return.

We are dedicated to giving back to our environment; by increasing biodiversity through our Apiary sites, with the planting of wild flowers. With every honey order that we receive, we give a free packet of wildflower seeds, with the aim of improving pollination habitats across the Midlands.

We strive to reduce our carbon footprint where possible by limiting single use plastics. Our labels are made from recycled materials ♻️ and our packaging can be put in your recycling bin when finished with, including the jars, containers and cardboard packaging.

We have jars of honey available to purchase via either collection or local delivery to Newcastle under Lyme or Market Drayton.

We also offer delivery to Telford and surrounding areas depending on the quantity of honey ordered and for a small delivery fee.

Please message us for any enquires or orders.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our page! 🍯🐝
