Donna Middleton, Tees Valley Women's Centre - Healthy Heart Checks
In March, we attended Tees Valley Women's Centre in South Bank, Middlesbrough to provide women with healthy heart checks, as part of our programme piloting PocDoc innovative cholesterol test. Southbank is one of the most deprived areas in the North East and 1 in 5 deaths are caused by cardiovascular disease in Middlesbrough. We spoke to Donna Middleton, Operations Manager at Tees Valley Women Centre, about the vital services they provide women in the area, and the importance of providing our heart checks outside of traditional health services.
