Massive thank you to the incredible guys at Comic Con Wales who have yet again pulled off an amazing event at ICCWales Thank you for having me and thank you for bringing your event to Wales.

And obviously not forgetting you guys......THANK YOU.
If you bought, looked or just chatted to me and my wife over the weekend, thank you. It's been such an absolute pleasure to meet you all and to see so many amazing cosplay costumes. If you did purchase any artwork feel free to share and tag me in it. It's always great to see what you think.

I loved working on this. Next up is a horror/villains piece in this style

New artwork alert. I've been wanting to draw a Gremlins piece for ages, and finally have. This took a couple of weeks and is drawn on A3 Bristol board paper. Really enjoyed working on this. I will be getting prints ready for Comic con Wales in 2 weeks.

I drew this Terminator skull on the weekend. Quite pleased with how it turned out.

Batman montage from all individually drawn Pieces. Not overly convinced by the background. So will probably change that, so this won't be the final version but I wanted to upload anyway.

Just watched the new Indiana Jones movie and I thought it was fitting end to a mostly incredible film series. Indy will always be my favourite movie character and I thought Dial of Destiny was a fitting ending for his character.

Having completed drawings of all the Doctors individually, I've tried to do a montage of them all on photoshop. I've done a couple of designs, but I plan on doing more versions of this. Doctor Who

COMIC CON WALES GUEST ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT - DARREN COBURN-JAMES

Darren Coburn-James is a local artist based in Newport and graphic designer by day. Darren goes by the name AsylumArtz and is known to many in the artist groups as AsylumArtz.

Darren has worked on Official Sketch cards for Topps, Upper Deck and Cryptozoic.
Darren is also a published artist where his work has been featured in artbooks for Stranger Things (Netflix Official) and Firefly (Fox Official), both published by Printed in Blood in 2019/2020.

As a Lucasfilm approved artist Darren has worked on many official Star Wars sketch card sets for Topps including: A New Hope black and white, Masterworks, Galaxy Chrome, The Last Jedi, Mandalorian seasons 1 & 2, Bounty Hunters, Galactic Files and Finest.

Other licenced sketch card products include: The X-Files, Aliens, Alien 3, DCs Heroes and Villians, Stranger Things, Walking dead, and Rick & Morty.
Darren was also one of six live artists at For the Love of Sci-Fi Manchester in 2017.

While nowhere near finished as I plan to draw all doctors, the TARDIS and a few villains, but as I had finished the five modern doctors I thought id have a go at this. All five drs were drawn separately then added to Photoshop. The background was created using many Photoshop brushes and effects to create a kind of time vortex.really pleased with how it turned out so I can't wait to get all the other drawings done. With Doctor Who everyone has different preferences and favourites. Some love the new some love the old, some love both. So I now plan different versions of these when everything is finished.

Doctor who project update. More Doctors done plus a couple of monsters. Still a fair way to go.

Current project is a big Doctor who piece. I plan on drawing every Doctor individually as well as a selection of monsters, aliens and villains and putting them together in a montage on Photoshop. Long way to go on this one, but I've started on other doctors and aliens. Hopefully it will turn out good. Doctor Who

We've been re-watching a lot of Red Dwarf lately, it's one of my favourite shows of all time. I do plan on drawing the characters at some point, but I thought I'd start with Starbug.

I started this Beetle juice drawing ages ago, and decided to finish it. Think it came out ok. Just don't say his name 3 times!

Sorry for the radio silence, needed a little break so this is My first drawing in a little while. Jenna Ortaga as Wednesday from the Netflix show. I really enjoyed the show and immediately wanted to draw her.

I took my son to see Avatar 2 the other day, and we both loved it. It made me want to finish this Jake Sully drawing that I started just before Christmas. Avatar
