We love that Belfast Zoo is actually a rescue centre and safe haven.
Internationally recognised graffiti artist DANK has painted a number of murals in Belfast. Loving your work Dan Kitchener ( DANK )
One of my favourite all time murals is ‘Night Taxi’ painted in The Shankill, Woodvale - Belfast - I remember this mural vividly for the challenges in painting - from wind, rain to snow blizzard - coupled with extreme nerve sciatica pain from a herniated disc - I still managed to paint and in my option create something beautiful that I am super proud of ! It’s funny how on social media you just present the finished polished article and the struggle and challenges that made it happen are never seen / making it always seem so effortless and easy - far from it - each mural is an epic challenge, with its own specific hurdles to get over!
Love this!
This is definitely an experience … but retreating to a cosy bed in a luxurious apartment is also an experience

📍Thompson Dock
At the very end of the Maritime Mile is the Thompson Dock. The huge dry dock was built specifically to house the Olympic Class liners that Harland & Wolff had designed and is the place Titanic last rested on dry ground before her maiden voyage.
Fancy exploring the site? Titanic Distillers offer a fully guided tour of the graving dock, allowing you to descend the 66 steps into the historic location.
