I was doing a bit of tidying today 😳 and I found this small easel that I bought for my daughter’s wedding party, and then forgot about.
So, I made this. It really is the small things that make me happy 😂

The ladies from our Tuesday nights classes have been working very hard.

Some photos from today’s patchwork retreat when the ladies learned how to make stack n wack trees and star blocks.
Everyone worked really hard but still had a lot of fun.

Tracey showed us her pieced circles quilt top which she has embellished with embroidery, and Joanne with the help of some tall ladies 😂 showed us her enormous Christmas quilt top.

Quilt Fayre is happening in August this year in Belfast- make sure you have these dates in your diary - and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Stormont Hotel for three days of knitting, stitching, classes , chatting, exhibitions and convivial company. We have some new traders coming to Belfast this year (more details over the next few months) an internationally renowned textile artist in residence, and a few other surprises lined up.

What a fabulous time we had

Yesterday some of Lulu’s Ladies went on their 1st outing of 2024, and what a day it was.
We got the train to Stroke City and had a great time at Quilt Fayre where we met lots of old friends, and bought a few bits and pieces to augment our stashes.
Then a late lunch before getting the train back home.
Many, many laughs were had and we are all hoping that there is no cctv coverage of our return journey

Fiona loved making the pods yesterday so much that she went home and made another one.

My friend Barbara is the most wonderful armchair yoga and chai me teacher and is about to qualify in other relaxation techniques too.

I am one very proud tutor.
Two of my pupils Yvonne and Karen, and I entered a recent W.I. competition for an 18in patchwork cushion, and we all got awards.

Today was a momentous day in the history of patchwork….. after 20 years of trying Margaret McRoberts made a foundation pieced block without cutting off any of the important bits, and so my life is complete.
Well done to all the ladies who came along to todays retreat, the amount of work going on was fabulous.
Our next Saturday retreat is on 4 May, details will be on the website very soon.
