An impromptu trip, with Dre, to 'The little community hub' aka MAPSS mental health and physical support services , to sort things out, and prepare for the rummage sale, which will take place next week, 11am to 1pm Mon,, Tue, Wednesday, during community cuppa chat and chill.

Music and movement can and should be enjoyed by everyone, what ever their abilities. Grab an instrument, play a tune, sit, stand, clap, tap, nod your head, raise an arm, raise both arms! It's adaptable

Come along to the hub today, and give it ago. You will leave feeling happy and uplifted:)

Reminder, 'The little community hub' aka MAPSS mental health and physical support services have :-
● a selection of wonderful poetry/spoken word books from Angela Craddock and Dawn Flutterbuys (Dawn Wilkinson).
● paintings from Paintings by Raymond

Adults having a go at the boom whackers in a sensory environment. It was lots of fun!
If there is anyone who really knows how to use the boom whackers, and would like to pop in to one of our Tuesday: music, moving and sing along sessions 1pm til 2pm, please let me know:)
Or any music, movement, singing/poetry skills welcome.

Had a lovely morning at MAPSS mental health and physical support services AKA The Little Community hub, with Paula Aitken

Then off we went to support YMCA North Tyneside Picnic In The Park 2024
Weather was beautiful, and blow me down with a feather, there was Liam Fender and his talented musicians, about to start a set. Then came short back and shields !
What a talent those young boys have.

It's not just about the artists, the music and the performance, it's about their stories, where they came from, what lead them to do this, what does it mean to them, what it brings to others.
It's the whole picture that inspired MAPSS to embark on project soundbite.

We also bumped into Rebecca OK :) salt of the earth, as they say.

Not a bad day for little old North Shields ❤️
