All adult males must be neutered
Daycare and home from home boarding (in our home)

🐶T&Cs - by not signing and returning doesn't exempt you, by paying a holding deposit this deems you accept T&Cs and you changing your plans doesn't change what we committed to!
🐶Also be mindful they are updated and communicated on here, I pin the latest on my page for ease
🐶no un neutered males can be accommodated (we are not asking you to go against vets advice, we just can't help, so please look at pet sitters or kennels)
🐶no reactive dogs or those with separation anxiety or constant barkers 🥰 we have several dogs in our care and those with separation anxiety this may not be the right setting (please train your dog to switch off and be ok with not being on your boarder 24/7 as we have all dogs to consider and this isn't a cute trait, all dogs are equal and one needs shouldn't push other boarders needs out)
!2025 I will have no choice but to add a late payment fee
We are a small business we have our own bills to pay, asking several times makes me feel like I am begging for the money, when you accepted to pay for a service please pay 🥰 thank you
If you want it p*e on it (in this case near)
In the words of strays
Hugo developed touch sensitivity and reacted this was new to him, after exhausted most options we now have some answers
This is all due to his digestive, allergies and immune system (sounds easy right) NOPE
Frenchies suffer with intolerances, chicken, beef are the most antibiotic farm animals. Hugo will no longer eat, chicken, beef, rice, wheat, cereal, flaxseed, turkey, potatoes
Basically if you think of the sorest case of human skin conditions, that you scratch till you bleed! You don't want to be touch.
We are on the start of new journey all natural back to the original cannine instinct

Some of the same s*x may get along fine, but some experts feel it is best to choose a new pup of the opposite s*x. Sadly this isn't different to home boarding environments....
Same s*x dogs may become rivals, and there is a greater chance of competition among the two. If you want to play it safe, team your female dog with a male counterpart and vice versa. There is also a thing between same litre called same litre syndrome!
This comes from fear, territoral traits, resources guarding (human/ toys/ high value treats to them)
If a males (irrespective of age) if entire then this can cause aggression towards other males! It's not always about personality or not being well socialised, french bulldogs as an example are a stubborn, highly intelligent breed, resource guard there most prized possession, despite being well socialised and well trained! (In this case I am Hugo's most prized possession)
And this is why sadly we can no longer accommodate male dogs or male puppy's that are still entire.
It's not only stressful for the dogs but also us as the home boarder as it means a rotation in place to protect all without cross over
I love and welcome any dog size, breed or s*x, but sadly my boy finds other males in his environment super stressful (not all might I add, the ones he has known from the start and those who submit he will welcome some)
Thank you as always for all my lovely customers, meet and greets for your understanding! I am not a boarder in this for money, it's hard work and I want to enjoy every second with your poochies, I am transparent and always will be and will not be made to feel bad or guilty over others ignorance!
I have been working with many behavioural experts, sadly the resent trauma of Hugo ACL and TPLO means he trust less towards male dogs!
I am a responsible dog boarder and will continue to be open and transparent
Fully booked for August 2024
Closed December 20th until 6th January 2025 (not open for Christmas)
!Dustondoggypaws update:
Any males I have had within the last 12 months I will honour any future bookings with(providing they have been casterated/ neutered and have already been in our environment)
Any new enquires i can only accept females moving forward
Two male dogs see each other as threat or challenge espically when one is casterated and one isnt, they also spend the whole time scent marking and claiming territory, i respect owner choices behind there decision to not neuter but i can no longer help!
I respect that this is Hugos home and therefore is 100 per cent his territory and will no longer put any stress on my boy with new male meet and greets 🐾
This hasn't been an easy decision and one I have made alongside experts
Lush day today 🥰🐾

I absolutely love all the dogs but today took my heart was the lovely Dexter ❤️🐾Pawsome Paws summer fun

Dogs living their best life
Head of security living his best life 😂
Meet and greets etiquette:
Please wait to be invited into the garden
Lead your dog at first
Remember to my pooch and other boarders they haven't met you before, despite being a doggy lover or experience with dogs, you are a stranger are entering his territory, it takes time to build a dogs rapport up, so it's important we nail the meet and greet
Please ignore all dogs upon entering
Please note any reactive dogs boarding, being overly handsy (waving, pointing, feeding treats from your hand, they will see this as a threat
A dog communicates in this order:
1-Nose
2-Eyes
3-Ears
This is how a dog engages and communicate with you and meet and greets are no different
Scent marking in the house is not acceptable (dog scent marking its territorial trait and this can also show a home boarder your dog has no boundaries and rules)
Typical breeds that resource guard:
(resourcing guarding is not always a bad thing, but can sometimes mean these breeds conflict against each other)
spaniels
frenchies
poodles
cockerpoo's
Separation Anxiety is not a cute trait.....(irrelevant of reasons behind)
It shows your dog is either a lockdown dog/Lack of socialisation / Not used to having own space and alone time and has no switch off alone and is dependant on you!
in turn this means change of routine, excessive barking, howling or crying
sadly we cannot accommodate this
Please be honest and upfront
Dogs and Children - does and donts (education)
🚫
-When sleeping/ eating or drinking leave alone (do not allow child to approach)
-Do not hug (this is not a canine behaviour, some don't mind, but they tolerate for the human)
-Dogs are not climbing frames, seats
-should not be poked and stroked automatically (always ask the owner)
Don't force the situation upon them child or dog, let it be natural
🐶Dogs should never 🚫
-Steal food from children
-Run after children
Jump up at children
✅
Allow the dog to go over and sniff
Co walk the dog, you both have a lead so you have full control but the child has a longer lead, never let the child have control
Read body language (if a dog walks away do not allow child to run after)
!!!!!It's not for just dog owners to educate parents on this, it's a joint approach - don't be responsible for ending a dogs life out of lack of education
