The overwhelming thing people told us: the country needs a fresh start & they’re looking to The Labour Party to deliver that change 👍🇬🇧

Very grateful for opportunity to speak to the Abington Residents’ Association meeting last night at Vernon Community Centre alongside our local Cllrs Councillor Bob Purser - WNC Abington and Phippsville Fartun Ismail & Cllr Walter Tarasiewicz.

It was really good to hear views on what residents want to see change - too many issues covered to list in this post but I particularly enjoyed the discussion about Northampton’s rich political history & how we can make more of it to the benefit of our local economy.

A lovely evening - would love to go to another meeting in due course (if they’ll have me!)

Scott was a true hero.

An anti-poverty campaigner & proponent of full adult suffrage, Scott was ’s 1st female cllr. She introduced free meals for pregnant & nursing women, & paid hospital fees for women in need.

Today’s doorknocking thanks also extend to on Ashburnham Rd, for meeting all our canvassing-break caffeine & cannoli needs ☕️
