Glad to have it returned, but in a very sorry state .
Maureen managed to get the medal to me unbeknownst to Geoffrey, I’ll let the pictures do the talking 👍🏻

Had the real privilege to mount 2 amazing Great War Trios last week .
The recipients were brothers in law , and both local to the south of Northamptonshire.
A 1914 Mons star trio with clasp to 9517 Pte James Clarke 2nd Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment .
And a 1914-15 star trio to 62105 Driver Harry Gayton X Battery Royal Horse Artillery.
Sadly Harry never returned home to his family, lost on the 23rd of March 1915.
Big thank you to Simon for allowing me to help and advise in his future display plans for these amazing items , nicely preserved and kept within the family for over 100 years !
There is still some mystery’s to be solved within the items , most notably a blood stained photo of a young soldier, in rear inscription written in pencil reads.
This photo was extracted from the wallets taken from the pocket of my brother on the battlefield August 26th 1916 .. brings home to true reality and impact of war....
Always Remembered 🇬🇧
D-Day 6th June 44 . Airborne Forces .
Not everyday you get mentioned in the national newspapers... but at least it’s for something positive 😊🇬🇧 so pleased for Denis .
Been involved over the past 2 months in a great project with 3 others.
WW2 Navy Veteran Denis Gregory went into hospital last year , on his recovery and return to home in Sheffield it transpired his medals had been stolen .
Between R Stanutz (ex Canadian Air Force) Phil Chadwick ( ex Royal Navy) Navy and Aircraft enthusiast Nick Sellers and myself , Original medals were donated to replace the ones sadly gone.
These were sent from Canada to me , the Atlantic star came from from my own collection donated as well as my time court mounting them for him to proudly wear .
Once completed in quick time I was to post them directly to Denis in Yorkshire.
It didn’t quite go that way........ , the ex RN guys stepped in made some calls and if you click the link to the ITV NEWS broadcast you will see the end result 😊
https://www.itv.com/news/calendar/2020-05-29/fanfare-for-ww2-veteran-awarded-medals-after-robbers-took-his-old-ones/

Always Remembered
A nice father and son group of medals recently in .
Father Henry Hope Robson , Naitive of the North East , service in both wars , firstly as a Stoker 1st class in the Royal Navy , then as a fireman in the Merchant Navy during WW2 , notably listed aboard the SS Ledbury on the 1939 register just weeks before it was torpedoed by a U boat in the Atlantic.
Then his son’s entitlement, unusual combination of 1939-45 war medal , and the latter post 1969 T.A.V.R medal SSGT D Robson Royal Artillery.
Nice to acquire them together, although something might need doing as they have previously been framed and stuck with glue and in the incorrect mounting order .
Still a nice effort to show a families dedication to serve ones country 🇬🇧
As of the 15th of June will sit proudly at Kingsley Antiques Warehouse Click Antiques & Vintage to view at the grand opening, virus permitting 🤞🏻
Very fortunate this afternoon to view and handle possibly the most complete family groups of the Northamptonshire Regiment / RHA from the Great War in a view to assist mounting prior to display, two groups , unfortunately one death penny , an immaculately kept Princess Mary Christmas tin , photos cap badges funeral cards and more .
Hopefully with permission I will be able to share in the future!
It is very warming to see that items still cherished and remembered more than a century later , although I do myself sell medals , I have never purchased directly from family as I firmly believe that’s where they always belong.
Even as a collector, when you purchase another’s medal you never own it , you become a custodian of it to pass the story on , because if looked after, it will be around long after you and I will .👍🏻👏🏻🇬🇧
Nice to do something slightly different tonight.
Acquired recently in poor state hanging threadbare on an old safety pin.
Now re-swing mounted , retaining original ribbons .
WW2 medal group of MTN-914680 Sepoy Saif Ali Khan Royal Pakistan Army Service Corps Mounted Division.
Often forgotten the great sacrifice commonwealth men and women gave fighting and supporting the British empire.
Group :
1939-45 Star
Burma Star
1939-45 War Medal
1947 Pakistan Independence medal
If you require any mounting services or replacement sets please get in contact.

Some lovely arrivals today.
WW1 Belgian Croix du Feu.
The 1914 – 1918 Fire Cross (Dutch: Vuurkruis 1914–1918, French: Croix du Feu 1914–1918) was a Belgian military decoration awarded to all holders of the so-called "Fire Card" which was awarded to all who came under fire at the front during the First World War. The medal was established by royal decree on 6 February 1934. It could not be awarded posthumously.
Secondly a medal I’ve involved with quite recently, it was awarded to British and commonwealth soldiers also for their efforts in Greece .
The Greek Commemorative War Medal 1940-1941 was instituted by Royal Decree of August 19th 1947. It was instituted to recognise the actions of the Royal Greek Armed Forces who took part in the war efforts from the outbreak of the war in Greece in 1940 until the fall of Crete in 1941.
A nice pair to add to AFCA Medals Click Antiques & Vintage , soon to open for business as usual 👍🏻
