The builders have started on a new project today in Watton!

Not a bad days work, especially facing several hiccups along the way.

We’ve removed some bushes, dug the footings for a new porch and dug a new trench in preparation for new toilet drainage.

Here’s some photos from our site build over in East Harling with this monstrous 6 bed house 👌🏻

We’ve built a fair few of the houses down this road but this one is one of our favourites!

The brickwork is now up, and the roof trusses are installed and we’re now back to complete the gables and decorative work.

We’ve also built a double garage which is currently waiting on roof trusses

Our Westfield job -

The original plan on this build was full length windows but the customer decided to adapt this and only have 3/4 windows.

The interior has been insulated and plaster boarded and we’ve knocked through into the main house.

We’re now waiting for the plumber to relocate the sink basin and the carpenter to install the new toilet door.

We’re then back to finish the plasterboarding before handing over to S F Plastering to do their bit 👌🏻

Although the whole team of builders have worked hard on this, the pictures say different with only Matt cracking on 😂

Our Attleborough porch build -

Trusses are on, plus fascia and soffit. The porch is now awaiting our roofer to install a tiled roof to match the existing property.

The windows and doors have been ordered and once arrived, the builders can crack on with the installation and move the project along.

Meanwhile, we’ve knocked out the kitchen wall and installed an RSJ. The old kitchen is ready to remove and a new one is being installed in the new open plan kitchen diner.

What a wet week this was over in Dereham for the boys!

Helping out P R Development with us completing the brick and block work on an extension. We’ve built up from DPC to wall plate and the build is ready for the roof

This one deserved a Saturday post!!

We’ve worked for our customers a fair bit over the last few years and we have just finished our final job at their property (☹️☹️)

We have laid a new fresh 40sm2 porcelain patio in Ivory with a charcoal edging and black grout, complete with a small ramp for easy disabled access.

We’re not blowing our own trumpet here but we think it looks amazing and really completed their property👏🏼

These pictures also feature the extension which we have built and is awaiting the decorator to paint.

We’ve removed the external brick and block wall and installed steels.

We didn’t realise how quiet we had been on here … 3 months nearly with no updates! 😵‍💫

We’ve been absolutely flat out with work, plus a little bit of annual leave and also welcoming our two new members of the team; Harvey & Jake.

Here’s a few pictures from a porch build we have recently started in Attleborough.

We’ve dug and concreted the footings, built up to DPC and concreted the oversite. Walls are up ⬆️ and trusses have been delivered and we’re now ready for the roof to go on 👌🏻

Our plasterers S F Plastering returned to our job in Watton now the weather is nicer (sometimes!🙃)

They have rendered the outside of the property and then tyroleaned it to match the rest of the exterior.

Our Dereham build which we started earlier on in the year is now complete -

Last photos we posted, this was at DPC level, we then built the extension 8m x 6m, installed roof trusses to match existing roof pitch, we’ve knocked the gable wall out from the existing property to create a bigger kitchen/diner. We’ve knocked through into an existing bedroom and built a new en suite.

Insulated and prepped the floor ready for Co-Dunkall Floor Screeding to screed the floor.

Windows, doors, all plumbing and electrical works completed by a third party arranged by customer.

Roof completed by Kidd roofing 👌🏻

We install plasterboard ready for our plasterers S F Plastering to do their bit! 👏🏼

We were faced with some serious bad weather on this build but we made some great progress and cracked on through most weathers where we could! (Matt modelling our bad weather attire perfectly😂)

A few days working in Watton -

We’ve removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room and installed an RSJ. Upstairs we have blocked a doorway up in the toilet and created a new opening into it in a new location. Customer is arranging plastering work.

We’ve opened up an old boiler cupboard and removed the concrete floor ready for the customer to make good and install a new kitchen

Our customer wanted the back of the fireplace opened up to install a log burner.

Once the bricks were removed, this was then lime rendered and porcelain slabs were laid

Here’s a few pictures from plot 14 on site back with a local developer who we have previously built houses for.

Despite the weather, we’ve had a good couple of weeks for progress.
Watling construction & groundworks have dug and concreted the footings & oversite then we’ve been in to build brick and block work up to scaffold height.

We’re currently building the garage for this huge property, and once the scaffold is up, we will be returning to get the build up to joist level 👌🏻

We are looking for a bricklayers labourer.

Duties include -

- Stacking out

- Mixing up

- Keeping the site tidy

- Pointing up

We are looking for a hard working, committed individual who works well in a small team. Must be polite and well presented.

Pay is minimum wage dependent on age.

Working hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday. 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.

Self employed basis and own transport is preferred. Public liability is a must. Experience in the industry is preferred but not essential.

We are based in Watton, Norfolk and work in surroundings areas. We work out in most weathers and move around location from week to week.

Immediate start for the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week

We’ve particularly enjoyed this job with it being one of our team members/friends property!!

We started out with a smaller layout of the downstairs and ended with a beautiful open plan living space 👏🏼

We’ve ripped out the old kitchen, removed 2 full walls and half a wall, the downstairs toilet has been relocated, pulled up the old flooring and laid brand new gloss white tiles, a full rewire (with thanks to Revamp Electrical Services), replastered (S F Plastering),installed a new door at the top of the stairs and then handed it over to the kitchen fitters to do their bit.
