From earthquakes to armed conflict, from fires to floods, in the UK and abroad, our teams react quickly with humanitarian aid and kindness across 192 countries, applying local knowledge and global expertise to save lives and provide comfort. Outside of emergencies, in the UK, our services reach people who are vulnerable to provide company, care and compassion.

🐇Bunkasai 2022 performance ⑥🐇

【 Japanese folk dance 】

I will dance the Oyama-bayashi from Akita Prefecture, which has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Site in 2016! At festivals of shrines in Kakunodate area features dashi (dressed-up floats). The participants dance to the rhythm of hayashi with a musical accompaniment of odaiko (large drum), kodaiko (small drum), tsudumi (hand drum), surigane (domed percussion instrument), and fue (flute)👘

ユネスコ無形文化遺産にも登録をされている、秋田県の飾山囃子（おやまばやし）を踊ります！角館地区の神社のお祭りでは、装いを凝らした数多くの山車（だし）が出ます。その参加者は大太鼓、小太鼓、鼓、摺鉦（すりがね）、笛などの囃子のリズムにあわせて踊ります👘
