In June I got to shoot a wedding in one of the most stunning locations I have ever seen. The Lake District is such a magical place and always been on my bucket list of places to visit so having the honour of capturing Karen & Lee’s wedding in Keswick was extra special. I can’t share any of the images from Karen & Lee’s wedding just yet as they are having another larger do in mid July but boy am I excited to share these with you. Getting the chance to shoot a wedding in one of the most stunning locations I’ve ever seen was such a thrill and we had an absolute blast. I’ll definitely be taking the family back to the Lake District, the place is magical. Here’s a few shots of the locations we got to play with (I couldn’t resist getting in one shot, that view was just unreal).

Not sure I’ve ever introduced myself properly so maybe I should give it a go.

That shy guy in the photo is me, Daniel Lightening, with our Milo who turned 17 this week!

I’ve been married to an incredible girl called Ruth for 15 years and we have 3 children - Sam, Poppy & Rosie, and 2 dogs - Milo & Oscar, and these guys are my world and I love nothing more than spending all of my free time with them.

The Latitude music festival is the first thing to go on our calendar every year and we always make the best memories there. I’m a lover of all things 80’s & 90’s, especially music and movies, holidays & mini adventures camping, craft beer, hanging out with friends, kayaking, beach walks (when you make it to your 40’s for some reason walking becomes a thing you enjoy! What’s all that about?) and just enjoying all the small things in life with a smile.

I feel extremely lucky to make a living doing what I love and long may it continue.

I’m now back in the office after having the best half term in Majorca with my beautiful family. I was the only one who wanted to get up early to catch the amazing sunrises hence only me in the photo!

My penultimate wedding of the year done, I’m going to be pretty sad once this season is over. Nothing quite like the wedding high I have most weekends and it’s always down to my amazing couples like Faith & David. ❤️
