THANK YOU FOR 3 AMAZING YEARS

This is a statement regarding my art page and also to thank you each and every one of you for always being there to encourage and support me. (You know who you are) Your comments truly mean the world, this has been an unbelievable experience for me and I thank my wife for giving me the confidence to start this page and to share my love of art with you.
The reason I am writing this is for a long time now I’ve been unable to put any or effort into art, life has truly stepped in the way but in a good way.
Long story short I’m hoping to move house so all my art supplies are in storage. I was starting to get “Aup Neil how’s the art going?” “Neil are we ready for an update?” etc. so I’m just writing this to say thank you who have been asking and unfortunately there won’t be a update in the near future. But this is not the end of a 3 year journey, I’m going to keep this page open and as soon as I’m settled I will find the fire (my pencils) again and start scribbling, so please stick with me 🙏🏻
I will end this by saying again how unreal it feels to know that my art is hanging on some of your walls. It’s one of the most humbling feelings I’ve ever experienced, and I wish you knew how grateful I am 🥹 I hope this process doesn’t take too long, and I hope I get the downtime again to be able to produce art.

Completed using markers and coloured pencils.
This piece was commissioned to me for a wedding gift. Many congratulations to Allie and Steve I hope I’ve done you (and Doro) proud. Being a Doro fan myself it was an absolute pleasure to draw. Thank you very much for asking me 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻

Hair practice from 2 years ago ready for my more “metal 🤘🏻” drawings.
This drawing was never completed, one of the many “one day I’ll finish it” but never did. Filed and lost. I would love to draw some retro WWE stars at some point, loads of character and fun to draw.
My techniques on hair have completely changed since this drawing but fun to look back

Some have asked what was used to create this picture so…
I used around 50 colours (and about the same amount of hours 😳) to finish the GNR picture along with markers and paint thinners to achieve the “painted” look. I’m extremely happy with end result, it’s what I’ve been trying to achieve since starting my hobby.

I’ve been trying out some different techniques on my last few pictures, some have worked out and some haven’t but I’ve gone back to just coloured pencils for this one. Although she looks a little like Medusa at the moment 😆

For the black I used acrylic paint, then I used watercolours over the grey tones
