"Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!"

It appears that a local setting loves our early years recruitment job advert so much, they have decided to copy it almost word for word!

I do hope it brings them the same amazing level of quality educators that we have!

The J9 logo you see displayed in our windows at Little Elms lets people who are experiencing domestic abuse know, that this is a safe space to access helpline information and to use a telephone to contact support services, police or someone they trust.
Due to the controlling and isolating nature of domestic abuse, those who have experienced it say that they never got the chance to tell someone or get support.
J9 changes that!

Our garden renovation is finished. Thank you so much to Super Grass Nottingham for the amazing work you did turning our garden from a muddy mess into a place where our children can explore, play and learn. We still have lots of natural areas for the children to play and learn, including our allotment area, our growing area and our mud pit digging area, not including our woodland.
Thank you to all of the wonderful people that helped to make this possible, by donating to our go fund me page. Including Andy Melaugh window cleaning services. Your donations really did help to make this possible, when early years budgets are so tight.
As you can see from the photos our children loved to watch the renovation process from start to finish!

🙋🏼‍♀️It’s that time of year again when mini eggs are lining the supermarket shelves. But, did you know that, just like grapes, they are the perfect size to block a small child’s airway and choke them? And, their hard shell can make it difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

With whole grapes we advise cutting them in half lengthways and ideally into quarters to create thin strips. But chopping up mini eggs isn’t as easy. So, what can you do?

1. Hide them from the children and eat them yourself – good luck with that!

2. Put the mini eggs into a sealable plastic bag and smash them into small pieces with a rolling pin. Or, crush them in a pestle and mortar.

3. Opt for a different treat. Larger, hollow eggs are much safer for little ones.

Playing hide and seek isn’t just fun — games like it are a vital part of the toolbox that contributes to a child’s development in their early years. This age-old classic encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. In addition, it helps to promote important life skills such as communication and teamwork.

The worry worms have been delivered across many villages today. We hope they bring some joy to the people who find them.
Please do let us know if you are the lucky person to find one. We would love to know who they are going to be living with!

Children’s mental health week is coming up at the beginning of February. One of our main aims is to ensure that our children are happy and healthy and we support our children in any way we can.

Mental health issues can affect so many people at any time so we would like to support our local communities in any way we can.

Over the next few weeks we will be placing these little worry worms around our local communities to hopefully bring a smile to someone’s face and help people to realise that there are people out there that care.

Thank you to Kelly’s amigurumi for creating such lovely little worms for us!

If you find one, please post a picture on here to let us know which one you have found 😊

I’m a little worry worm, made especially for you!
I carry happy thoughts with me, in case you’re feeling blue.
Sometimes life is hard, but your burdens we can share….
You’ve found me at the perfect time, to show you that we care. 🙂

We are very sad to say that our beautiful outdoor area is no longer as beautiful due to the harsh rain and flooding. As you know pre-schools are not huge profit making organisations and any money we have, always goes straight back into making the environment better for the children.
Does anyone know of any companies that could help us out with some artificial grass or something else that would be longer lasting than grass? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
