The difference from last year to this!
Some people wont agree but for us steriods were literally destroying my baby.
He went from walking everywhere to crying his legs hurt all the time his back was hurting. He wouldn't even look at pictures of him self because of the weight gain. Was on antibiotics every month for some kind of infection! This year hes finally finding himself again and his mobility and his flexibility has improved soo much. Hes happy again! We only have to deal with normal school bugs and yes we do still get some falls he is a 6 year old after all but nothing like before β€οΈ
You literally steal the heart of everyone you meet corbz and you have the world wrapped around them tiny fingers. My little warrior forever proud π
This kid is absolutely smashing the hills and stairs and today he walked down the steps at the hotel on his own ππͺπ
Not once complained hes a proper trooper! You go my little corbz.

Disabled Access Day!
A day to raise awareness about the importance of accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities.
Everyone should have equal access to venues, services, and experiences, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities.
Although Carmela is still able to walk and uses her wheelchair when tired, she is unable to climb stairs safely on her own so does need a careful eye on her, and so finding venues and parks with no steps and wide enough for wheelchairs is still an ongoing battle.
Unfortunately, finding a local park Carmela can use is always a long drive away. In the photo below, Carmela is on an accessible play roundabout, but it took 35 mins drive to use it!!
It hasn't just been venue entrance and park equipment that has been challenging, but just using public transport with a wheelchair has never been straightforward.
Finding a hotel near a location you want to stay in is forever a challenge, because their one and only accessible room is always booked up, despite having so many standard rooms, or their accessible room isn't fully accessible for people with physical disabilities.
School transition and moving house has taken over 2 years for us, due to poor accessibility inside and outside at most schools and houses/bungalows.
Life is difficult enough for people using wheelchairs with an ongoing health condition, battling poor access outside of home too, really is unnecessary and plays a big part in the mental welfare of these kids and adults, and totally shouldn't be this difficult anymore in this day and age with live in.
Let's all make a noise about places that are still not accessible by commenting below and sharing.
Plus, do give a shout out to places and businesses who have fantastic accessibility, by commenting below.
