RJ Woodland Services Limited has come on board as the newest corporate member of the Ulster Farmers’ Union.

UFU corporate sales executive Craig Scott said, “I am delighted to bring R J Woodland Services on board. They have extensive expertise in woodland management and uniquely offer horse logging with their two Irish cob’s Billy and Dan, providing minimal environmental impact and can access areas where machinery would find it difficult to operate.”

Ross Jamieson, director of RJ Woodland Services Limited said, “RJ Woodland Services Limited is delighted to be joining as a corporate member of the UFU. As a locally based company we can offer a personal service with over 20 years experience in the forest industry. Our staff are on hand to give advice in all aspects of woodland management from establishment to harvesting and timber marketing. Delivered one day, out the next on our maintenance contract for The Woodland Trust erecting wooden gates and rail fencing.

Due to the recent winter storms these Leyandii became unsafe.
A tricky removal sandwiched between a power line and public road. Full power line shut off and a lane closure ensured the job was completed in a short timeframe. Well done for the push to get this wrapped up 💪🪵.

A mixed day out removing a blown Leyandii over a gateway from Saturdays high winds and then back out to the roadside tree safety works on a local estate 🌳 🚜

Where safe to do so we retain deadwood as it is a invaluable source to a number of species such as Woodpeckers and Bats.
We removed the large branches from this dead Sycamore to prevent it from snapping or blowing over, this ensures it will stand for many more years.

Ongoing works making the local roads safer to the public. This Ash was on its last legs! 🌳🤕

Quick response to a blown and rotten ash overhanging a footpath. An emergency road closure along with the grapple saw dealt with this safely.
