๐Ÿ  If you are looking to move, there's a bit to consider with the up & coming election on Thursday 4th July. The sales market has been relatively flat for the past 18 months since Truss' devastating mini-budget added further fuel to a volatile economy, hiking up interest rates, some as high as 8%!

โœ” In all, I think that the general election announcement is big news for the sales market. In my 19 years experience as a property agent and having experienced 4 previous general elections during this time, it has always had an effect and changed the market, mainly for the better.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ The election of a new government in many peoples eyes may bring fresh hope and a good feeling to home movers and this coupled with speculation of a dramatic interest rate drop this summer in my opinion will lead to a bounce in the market.

๐Ÿ˜Ž I am actively encouraging sellers, both current and future to seriously consider getting their homes on the market now in preparation or perhaps consider changing estate agents if their home hasn't sold for some months. Fresh ideas will certainly have an impact if things have gone a little stale, and its best to start acting now as the majority of UK estate agents now require 28 days written notice to leave!
