Men's Health Week starts today and runs until 16 June. To coincide with this, North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust are running a campaign to encourage us men to stop for a moment and prioritise our health. They're focusing particularly on the importance of early testing and the early diagnosis of prostate cancer.

Following my own diagnosis, I'm helping to support the campaign by promoting it on my More Muzic Radio show, Wednesday's 7 - 9pm. It's vital if you're over 50 to go and get checked! Earlier this year I had the misfortune to be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Thankfully however, it was caught early, it isn't terminal and I continue to work and live a normal life whilst undergoing treatment. This is because I visited the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust out-reach testing bus in Peterborough, instigated by Macmillan Consultant Urological Surgeon Miss Jyoti Shah MBE and caught this disease early!

As a result of my diagnosis, I am now working with the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust and Miss Shah to help raise awareness by telling my story. I will be taking part in the forthcoming Trust campaign to promote the importance and awareness of early prostate cancer testing which will coincide with Men's Health Week, 10 - 16 June.
