Farming with passion "We want to build
the best agricultural machines“
We feel committed to the farmers‘ community and the wishes of our customers.
Thus, it is only logical that for our products and services we aim for the highest standard. This is true for research, design and development as well as for assembly, technical service and advisory service. We take the time for extensive studies, use the machines on our own farms, more than 3,000 hectare – to experience ourselves what we have developed and what we are talking about. We assume res
Performance under demanding conditions
The Sprinter 12 SC impressed at the demonstration in England 💪
The ground was quite wet due to the rain, which the Sprinter coped with perfectly when sowing wheat 🚜
The tine seed drill makes it possible:
▶️ Tines clear residual crop residue from the seed furrow
▶️ Narrow coulters avoid coarse clods
▶️ Hydraulic pretensioning ensures clean placement at depth
▶️ Pressure rollers on the tines are responsible for uniform consolidation
Our customer from Berkshire in the south of England was so impressed with the machine that it will soon be moving in with him. No wonder with its performance! 😍
BTW: Less horsepower is also sufficient for the Sprinter - although the combination looks really great😉
When “cleaning” becomes child's play 😉
Some crop care sprayers are still on their way 👉️ Time to devote yourself to the topic of cleaning thoroughly (especially before wintering ❄️)
How can it be done easily and reliably?
Keyword CCS = ContinuousCleaningSystem = continuous inside cleaning
This system works according to the displacement principle and not the dilution principle
*This means that clear water is pressed through the system while the spray pump is active at the same time. This effectively removes the residues of the spray liquid after the plant protection measure. Cf. washing hands with the drain open instead of washing in a closed basin 💧
The best thing about it: with Leeb sprayers equipped with CCS or CCS Pro, the cleaning process can be carried out conveniently from the cab. Even fully automatic with CCS Pro 🧽

Another row spacing test at the Sitzenhof 🌾 🌾
We planted a total of 44 plots at Sitzenhof to take a closer look at the topic of row spacing.
Facts about the row spacing test:
👉️ Previous crop: r**eseed
👉️ Preparatory work: 2 shallow cultivation passes with the finer to control volunteer r**e and w**d seeds
👉️ Seedbed preparation: Only 1 pass with the heavy harrow to aerate the fields. Due to the wet weather, cultivation with the cultivator is avoided (smear layers and bringing out large clods) and the good soil structure after r**e is used instead
The trial:
Test 1
▶ 3 different high quality wheat varities
▶ 3 different row widths - Avatar 6.16 SD with 16.7 cm row spacing & Avatar 6 SL with 25 cm and 50 cm row spacing (double row spacing through selective hosing)
▶ 2 different seed rates - 180 and 250 seeds/m²
▶ Entire test was repeated
Trial 2
▶ Sowing a bread wheat variety at 50 cm and 25 cm row spacing
▶ The seed rate was steadily reduced: from 250 grains/m² to 100 grains/m²
We are looking forward to the results.
What are your experiences with wide row spacing in wheat?
Roadshow Recap! 🇫🇷
We continue in the south of France with two stops 🤩
On board this time, for example: Leeb PT, Maestro, Avatar, Joker and Terrano
We were able to gain many impressions of farming in the south of France - especially during the sowing season in mid-October:
▶️ A lot of wetness, the soils were difficult to drive on, which posed particular challenges during sowing
▶️ Wheat seed is therefore sometimes spread on particularly difficult areas using fertiliser spreaders and then worked in with a flat cultivator
▶️ Many special crops are also grown in this region, such as rice, popcorn maize, wine, ...
▶️ In general, France is the largest agricultural producer in the EU (cereals and maize)
▶️ Most farms are family-run and relatively small. However, restructuring is expected due to the high average age of farmers
In France we were also accompanied by agrarluke and he also provided the great pictures!
A perfect duo - Partner FT + Packer 🤝
Did you know that our partner FT can also be equipped with packers?
The benefits:
✔ Better weight distribution on the field
✔ Weight relief for the front axle of the tractor
✔ Clods are crushed and pressed down
Suitable combinations:
▶ Partner 1600 FT
➕ Tyre packer with 350 kg
➕ RollPack packer with 280 kg and deep, strip-by-strip consolidation
▶ Partner 2000 FT
➕ Passively steered tyre packer (800 kg, contact area 1.30, additional weight up to 360 kg)
▶ Partner 2.1 & 2.5 FT
➕ Passively steered tyre packer with hydraulic lifting (800 kg, contact area 1.30, additional weight up to 360 kg)
➡ The advantage of hydraulic lifting is that the tyre packer can be lifted separately from the front tank in road traffic, thus maintaining the field of vision.
Optimum soil protection is no problem with the packer, even with the heaviest machines! 💪

☁️🌤️🌧️ Seeding season - a wide variety of machines is used!
In Franconia, the Versa KR was used for sowing wheat. The light soils could dry out sufficiently after the preliminary work with a Terrano FX and allow good trafficability. In this case, the rotary harrow of the Versa KR ensures a fine-crumbly seedbed. 👍️
The situation is quite different in Hungary where the wet weather 🌧️ is a real challenge and tillage is virtually impossible. Here, the Avatar is used for direct seeding - despite the difficult conditions, the area is sufficiently trafficable directly after the soybeans to drill the wheat on time. 🌾
How are the conditions for seeding at your farm? 💬👇
Longer application windows are no problem with ATP Control! ✅
Especially in this wet autumn, ATP Control is a real game changer for the trailed Leeb models: ATP Control is very helpful for some crop care measures in autumn to not completely destroy the field or simply to be able to drive better!
But what is it?
▶️ Adapted Tyre Pressure Control - an integrated and automatic tyre pressure control system
➡️ The tyre pressure is automatically regulated depending on the filling level of the mixture tank, the road transport or the field mode. This means that the optimum tyre contact area can be achieved for every situation!
In the field, for example, ATP Control regulates the air pressure to 1.0 bar, thus increasing the contact area and minimising ground pressure. When you then switch back to road mode, ATP Control returns to the higher tyre pressure.
The first emergence in wheat 🌱🌱🌱
Some are still in full seeding mode, while elsewhere the first plants are already emerging. 🌾
At Rowles Farm in England there are already the first pictures of the emergence. ✨
They used the Avatar SD to sow winter wheat directly - the seeding date was October 10. It was A wheat for bread production!
Before that, there were catch crops on the field for pasture management.
The Rowles love the Avatar: “Emergence is perfectly even.”
Wheat has already been sown in Germany, too - with the Pronto TD 🚜
Andreas from the district of Oldenburg sowed wheat on October 6 in ideal seeding conditions. The previous crop was silage maize and the Cultro and the Joker did a good job before the Pronto.
He, too, is enthusiastic: “Great, solid machine that achieves a perfect placement. With one pass, primary soil cultivation & seeding!”
How are things at your farm? When are you sowing? 🤗
Too late for winter barley!? 🌾
The optimum period for sowing winter barley is normally between mid-September and the beginning of October!* But what if it didn't work out during this time? ☔️🤔
Let's clarify: What is important for seeding & how far should the barley be developed before the winter:
👉️ Seedbed goes before seeding time! This is especially true when sowing barley, as barley does not like to be ‘smeared into the soil’.
👉️ Before the winter barley goes into dormancy, it should have produced 4 to 6 shoots. This requires approx. 50 to 60 growing days & a temperature of 400 to 450 °C days after emergence.
⚠️ The shoots planted before the winter have a decisive influence on the yield! Therefore, the shortened vegetation period with late seeding also increases the risk of yield depression because of the lower tillering performance (e.g. a long-term test in Bernburg shows a yield reduction of 2.5 dt/ha per week of delayed seeding from mid-October).
BTW: Hybrid barley may be an alternative worth considering, otherwise spring barley.
What is the situation like for you? Were you able to sow barley as usual this year? 😉
*Depending on region and conditions.

At the start: NEW Partner FT generation 🎉
At the Agritechnica, we already gave you a first glimpse of our new Partner front tanks! The new Partner FT does not only presents itself in a fresh design, but also impresses with technical innovations:
⛽ New tank capacities: 1 700 l as a single tank (or expandable with a 200 l tank for e.g. microgranular compound), 2 100 l and 2 500 l as a double or triple tank
⚙️ Various packer options or additional weights
🤝 Quick-coupler for easy, tool-free attachment and removal of the pneumatic hoses from the front tank attachment
And of course, the Partner FT is also available with the familiar support kit for attaching the pneumatic tubes to the tractor! 🤭
Look forward to 2025 when the new Partner generation will make its rounds in the fields!

No break after the harvest! 🌱
For the farm in Rheinhessen, there is no time to lose after the harvest! ⏲️
Immediately after the maize harvest, the Avatar 3.16 SD sowed peas and triticale.
➡️The only intermediate step was to crush the stubbles with a knife roller.
This allowed the farm to start sowing just in time!
ℹ️ Due to the individual depth control of the Avatar, precise seed placement for direct drilling is no problem - even with high amounts of harvest residues (like here after grain maize).
This farm, too, had to struggle with the wet conditions this year, but as the soils are sandy, that conditions were good nevertheless.
Convincing demo ride 🚀
The Leeb VT on a demo tour - BoomControl in particular caused quite a stir. 😉
The active boom control was able to demonstrate its capabilities during a demo ride with water. 💪
It is particularly advantageous in bends, when travelling at speed and on uneven terrain.
The active boom control adapts the distance to the terrain with the help of ultrasonic sensors and maintains the target area distance precisely.
➡️ Optimum wetting across the entire working width and less drift + quick turning manoeuvres and relief for the driver
Did the video convince you as well?
Rapeseed & seeding technology: an exciting combination!
Today we have some exciting insights into a current r**eseed test which is part of a bachelor's thesis at Sitzenhof! 🎓️⤵️
What did we analyse?
Part 1️:
Youth development (pre-winter development) of r**eseed when sowing with ▶️ the Avatar, Pronto, Versa and Maestro.
Part 2️:
Effect of different fertiliser strategies (type and quantity vary) when sowing with ▶️ the Focus (StripTill).
ℹ️ Due to the same sowing density and the same previous tillage in both blocks, the five machines & the fertiliser strategies can be compared under identical conditions.
🌼 Findings so far: even emergence especially in the ‘Maestro plot’ due to its high placement accuracy.
At the end of November, a final assessment is carried out based on BBCH stages, root collar thickness, taproot length, feeding damage, disease infestation etc. to check how ‘fit’ the r**eseed is going into the winter! 💪
Stay tuned!

The “ Maize Tiger” made by HORSCH 🌽
That's what the Tiger MT is called among insiders 🐅
But what's behind it? 👇️
Like the Tiger AS, the specialty of the Tiger MT is the incorporation of large amounts of organic material and loosening at a depth of up to 35 cm (= alternative to the plough 😉)
But it also impresses with:
The 2-row disc zone in front of the tine zone for additional crushing and incorporating organic matter
➡️ Optimum distribution of the harvest residues (e.g. from grain maize) in the working horizon which accelerates the rotting process
The tine spacing of 43 cm and a frame height of 85 cm ensure sufficient clearance and blockage-free work.
We think it's great 🐯
🚚 HORSCH Roadshow: Slovakia & Austria Edition!
Our roadshow truck explored the beautiful landscapes of Slovakia and Lower Austria last week! We have once again collected a few exciting ‘farming facts’ for you:
🇸🇰 Slovakia
▶ Approx. 39 % of the country's land is used for agriculture.
▶ Cattle, chickens, pigs and sheep make up the majority of livestock farming, but the degree of self-sufficiency in these sectors is relatively low compared to wheat, rye, beet, maize, etc.
▶ The country's granaries are primarily the Danube lowlands in the south-west, the south of the country and the eastern Slovakian lowlands in the east.
🇦🇹 Austria (Lower Austria)
▶ The majority of Austria's arable land is located in Lower Austria where the cultivation of cereals, maize and root crops such as potatoes or sugar beet plays an important role.
▶ But new crops such as sweet potatoes and lentils are also growing in the fields.
▶ The self-sufficiency rate for drinking milk is 170% (comparison DE: 107%).
Stay tuned! We will continue to take you with us on our roadshow stops: 📍Germany, France, Italy, ...

Maestro TX for direct seeding 🌱
‘Special’ mission for our Maestro TX at the no-till farm of .fladungen 🙌
With the seed drill, the farmer 👨🌾 wants to ‘stay as flexible as possible’ as of the coming season. Due to the hydraulically adjustable row widths of the Maestro TX from 37.5 to 80 cm, this is no problem!
For example, it is currently used with a row spacing of 45 cm for sowing winter field beans directly into the existing catch crop (previous crop rye) in order to improve the soil structure, prevent erosion, ...
And on top of this, slug pellets were also spread via baffles using the additional row containers for microgranular compound (18 litres each)
Next spring, maize planting is on the agenda. 🌽
A great thing! 👌

Let the w**ds grow first and then the crop!
"Let the w**ds grow first and then the crop!" ➡ This is the motto behind the ‘wrong seedbed preparation’! 🤓
ℹ️ This encourages the seed stocks mainly of annual w**ds to germinate before the main crop is sown and they can be fought again with the ‘actual’ seedbed preparation or chemically.
And this is how it works, e.g. with the harrow:
👉️ Depending on the weather, create the ‘false seedbed’ 4 to 7 days before the planned seed date. Even small existing w**ds can thus be controlled. (picture 2)
👉 1 - 2 days before sowing or on the day of sowing, prepare the ‘actual seedbed’. (picture 3) ➡ The freshly germinated w**ds can then be controlled by using mechanical or chemical methods. ✔️
⏩️ One advantage of this is, for example, a faster aeration of the fields and, above all, less w**d pressure in the early stages of development and a good start for the crop!
Do you already have experience with the false’ seedbed preparation? Let us know 😉
It´s time 🙌
The Focus is sowing winter wheat near Haldensleben (Saxony-Anhalt)! 🚜🌾
The stubble from the preceding crop maize was simply mulched before they started sowing directly on the predominantly sandy soil!
The smart thing was that fertiliser was also applied at the same time via the tines of the Focus. This means nothing stands in the way of optimum emergence. 🤓
Thank you to .rx for the cool pictures! 📸
Efficiency three times higher: Pronto TD
The Pronto TD combines intensive tillage and precise seeding in a single pass:
1️⃣ Deep loosening (up to 35 cm) & even incorporation with the Tiger tines,
2️⃣ disc levelling and consolidation with the packer
3️⃣ and seeding via the TurboDisc seed coulters
🔍 More about the Pronto TD:
▶ 2 000 l seed hopper
▶ 3 - 6 m working width
▶ 15 cm row spacing
▶ Optional tramline control and seed flow monitoring
▶ Seeding directly after tillage with the Tiger (only one pass)
You already know the Tiger AS as a combination partner of the Pronto! But it can also work with the Tiger MT. More on that soon! 🤭
The "new" Versa SL in detail 🧐
If you combine the rear of the Versa SW with our partner front tank, you get the “new” power harrow combination 👉️ Versa SL!
SL stands for “short line”, i.e. the Versa is attached directly to the tractor via 3-point linkage
✅ High manoeuverability
Equipped with:
✅ Kredo power harrow for seeding even in most difficult conditions
✅ TurboDisc coulter with 12.5 cm or 15 cm row spacing
✅ Different packer options
FYI: The Versa SL can also be combined with the new Partner front tank generation. More on this soon! 😉
