I adore this little video, it makes the entire event feel like memories burnt into my brain since childhood. I think that’s needed - the idea of positive trans experiences since a young age. I grew up in Plymouth and Portsmouth/Gosport so two naval towns and that came with the naval views against all things q***r. There was a trans kid a few years above me that got bullied out of school and transphobic comments would be thrown around constantly. I, and I’m sure so many of us, never had any positive associations with the concept of trans identity until my teenage years. Being able to attend events like this, hell even being able to host them, is something that school age me would never even fathom.
I was hyper feminine to convince myself I was a girl, masking constantly without realising, and living through an awful lot of trauma leading me to be terrified of people. And now I’m part of this beautiful community. I’m not an emotional person so I won’t say that things like this make me cry, but the love I felt on Saturday and the support from the Trans Pride Team makes me feel so warm and snuggly.

So thank you to everyone that came, everyone that was so authentically themselves. Bit by bit, I think we are healing our inner child. We are on our way to a more positive future, I think.
Of course, if you want more certainty on this positive future, MAKE SURE TO VOTE TOMORROW

Business talk with Jabo Butera and Tendai Madume
Business talk with Jabo Butera and Tendai Madume The Only limitless possibilities that the upcoming year holds for our aspiring entrepreneurs

Bit of a change from our usual Reel content today! (Ignore the fact that there has been zero reel content for weeks) Little bit of behind the scenes showing what I do on admin days - a mix of work for the shop, some freelance writing, and personal admin! It was honestly really fun filming all this (albeit very poorly) and realising how much work I actually get done in a day. Being an AuDHD business owner means having greatly fluctuating days. I started to productively, and then quickly got distracted by things not going perfectly. After getting back from the shop, I totally lost my flow and ended up cleaning to procrastinate. And then all of a sudden I got a bunch done. I also did more than was filmed, but watched videos and got distracted more than is shown too. Interesting to think about all the little tasks that don’t feel worth noting down but make up quite a lot. Energy comes and goes from no where. It can be quite frustrating but it’s nice being able to put it into perspective. Running my own business and being self employed definitely helps - I can’t imagine working a ‘regular’ job when my focus comes and goes like this. Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through my little introspection caption, what did you get up to today? 💛

Little unboxing of our new business cards! That’s right, we’re getting ✨professional✨ Going to do some posts in the next week or two about who these people are and why we’ve put them on our business cards!

A little reading of my favourite zine by @mal.biele This is THE PEEN ZINE which is a wonderful collection of p***s drawings. This zine costs however much you want it to!
