The 2017 Festival took place between 3-7 May 2017 and launched Plymouth History Month.
Building on the success of the Plymouth International Book Festival, the Plymouth Festival of Words celebrates words in all its forms including literature, poetry, theatre and more. The Festival showcases an eclectic blend of nationally and internationally renowned writers, alongside a rich community programme involving literary groups from across the city and region. We’re delighted to be collaborating with Literature Works Peninsula Arts Plymouth University Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery WonderZoo Featuring The Word and BlackBooks and Plymouth Literature Festival on a brand new programme of events for 2019 which will celebrate words in all their forms spoken, sung, performed.
