On Monday 27th June, we held our annual sports day. This was the first time we have held a 'normal' sports day in 3 years. It was so lovely to be able to invite the parents into school again and celebrate as a community. Well done to all the children who showed perseverance and sporting abilities. Thank you to the parents for attending and making it a real celebration and a huge thank you to the PTA for serving refreshments all day. Lots of photos and videos to follow.
This term in Year 6, we are retelling the narrative 'The Nowhere Emporium' by Ross MacKenzie. During this unit, we decided it would be a great opportunity to act out Chapter 1 in small groups. This challenged the children in a different way than what they are accustom to and required them to develop their communication and presentation skills in front of their classmates. The children thoroughly enjoyed the drama afternoon and as a result have produced some fantastic pieces of writing which can be seen on display in the Year 6 classroom. Well done Year 6, I hope to see many of you collecting Oscars in a few years 👏🏻 👏🏻
