We had a brilliant concert last night. Thanks to the Tony Foster Band and everybody who came along to sing along.

The best playing we’ve seen in front of that dartboard this year!

What a wonderful time we had. kippax brass band, roaring fires, lashings of great beer and there’s no show without our Charlie who did us all proud.

What a grand time last night. Another musical triumph at the Brad’s, a night full of laughter, friendship and community spirit.

Good afternoon. We had a fantastic night with the company of Mic and Susie Darling. They gave a brilliant interview with Ian Clayton that was funny and poignant by turns and then gave a splendid concert. They mixed old folk songs with polka’s and skiffle and in the second half went all on rock n’ roll. Thanks to everyone who supported this event. We had a ball.

Good morning snowy. We were treated to a performance by Hazjak last night that was brilliant. Thanks to all who came and to our bar staff for their hard work as usual.

Good evening. Hands up if you like a pub with real ale and a real fire!

There was lovely acoustic session here at the Brad’s last night. If you’d like to join in we meet on the last Monday of every month.

Good morning all. Thanks to the smashing Rory Holl for last night’s show. And a big thank you to all who came and to the staff as always for their hard work. We have more splendid live acoustic music tomorrow night when we present our regular last Monday of the month acoustic sessions. If you have never been to one of these you’re missing out. Bring your guitar, fiddle, accordion or just yourself.

Another splendid night of live acoustic music at The Brads. Thanks to the mellifluous Country Twist and everybody who turned out to watch and listen.

We had half an hour in front of the fire this aft. There’s nowt nicer….especially with a pint or two of the rum porter.

Good morning and thanks to all who came to our Saturday night shindig. A smashing time was had by all.

Another little clip from last night’s acoustic jam here at the Brad’s. Some decent harmonies going on there behind Bob.

The regular last Monday of the month acoustic jam was special last night. We met to celebrate the life of one of our comrades John Thirlwell. We drank beer and malt whiskey and most of all we played and sang. it was an evening filled with good memories and not a little joy.

We’re delighted to share the wonderful news about our young bar tender Rhea Elliott. Last Sunday at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool Rhea was crowned alongside her dance partner Lissy the champion pairs freestyle dancer of Europe. Three cheers for our girl!

Good afternoon. Did you know that today is National Beer Day? You can celebrate it here because as always at The Bradley Arms we have a good and varied selection. On at the moment are Wapentake, a lovely session pale from Nailmaker Brewery of Darton near Barnsley. This has become a great favourite here over the last few months and will feature regularly on our bar. Acorn Bitter and Blonde are our 'house beers' and celebrate two characters from the history of this pub, Cunninghame Graham and George Bradley. Nightjar 'Lost in Ikea' comes from Nightjar Brewery in Mytholmroyd. It's an unfiltered IPA filled with the flavours of Mango, Melon and Tangerine, a perfect beer for summer afternoons. Plum Porter another from Nailmaker has almost gone, so if you want to try it before it runs out, look sharp! Just on last night is another favourite here at the Brad's. It's 'Sleck Dust' an easy drinking summer beer from Great Newsome in the East Riding, another brewery we have a lot of time for. And finally, coming up in the next few days we've got; 'Mr Brian' an English pale ale from Fernandes Brewery of Wakefield, 'Land of Hops and Glory' another pale from Stoke on Trent and last but not least, 'Doughnut get your hops up' from Three Brothers Brewery of Stockton on Tees. This one is unfiltered and hazy and described as 'a raspberry doughnut milkshake pale'.......your guess is as good as ours!

Good evening. Our tap room became a film set and recording studio this morning. We’ll reveal more soon.

Blue Tattoo
Lewis Burner and his mate Ian on double bass turned out to be one of the highlights of the 2nd annual Folk n' Ale Festival at The Bradley Arms. They sang this song, one with great resonance here in Featherstone. It's called Blue Tattoo and it's by the great Billy Edd Wheeler of Whitesville, West Virginia. You might not know Billy Edd Wheeler, but you will know his songs. He wrote Jackson for Johnny Cash and June Carter and Coward of the County for Kenny Rogers. Lewis and Ian did this wonderful version. Special shout out to Peter Stone for getting the live sound just right here and to Neil Kemp for the clip. Somebody said "that's a strange tattoo You have on the side of your head." I said "that's a mark of number nine coal A little more and I'd be dead" But I love the rumble and I love the dark I love the cool of the slate. But it's travelin' down this new road lookin' for a job It's the travelin' and lookin' I hate.
