Nikki Gates - Gates Debt Recovery Limited
Experienced Debt Recovery Specialist ~ Legal Consultant ~ Credit Control Advisor ~ FIXED FEES
DO YOU HAVE A TRICKY DEBTOR?π€‘
βAre they raising unsubstantiated and/or unreasonable disputes to avoid making payment of a debt?
βHave you made countless attempts to resolve purported disputes and/or given them opportunity to pay, without success?
βHas your communication with the debtor broken down or become unmanageable or ineffective?
πI am here to helpπ and may be able to make the process less stressful and more manageable for you.
I can intervene and explore whether there is any scope to achieve a successful outcome or settlement directly with the debtor. This could involve a targeted approach with leading individuals within the debtor's business, as well as promoting and encouraging positive engagement to try and reach a resolution prior to litigation becoming necessary.
Litigation is sometimes the only option, but positive and targeted engagement can be used, should be explored, is often very effective and is much more time and cost efficient.
Contact me for a no obligation initial chat - I may be able to resolve a long running recovery swiftly and efficiently for you.

π· Debt Recovery - the basic process π·
Many businesses will try and avoid a debt recovery process, even if it is really needed. Their credit control policies and practices can then become inefficient and cash flow issues may arise.
The debt recovery process can include engagement with the debtor to reach agreeable solutions for payment of the debt, including instalment plans. It's important to act swiftly β to ensure your business is at the forefront of the debtor's mind and therefore, the debtor's payment schedule.
The general debt recovery process, for undisputed debts, can be very simple and straightforward. I offer fixed fees to make the process as cost efficient and transparent as possible and it is sometimes possible to claim your recovery fees from the debtor.
You may also be entitled to claim interest from the debtor, subject to contractual terms or applicable statute/regulations.
DM me if you have any debt recovery queries and/or believe it may be time to start formally chasing a debt. I would be pleased to discuss the debt, process and likely fees with you.

π Statutory Demands π
DID YOU KNOW?
- You can use a Statutory Demand to request payment of a debt from an individual or company.
- To use a Statutory Demand, the debt must be Β£5,000 or more if you are owed money by an individual, or Β£750 or more if you are owed money by a company.
- A Statutory Demand is a legal document which is served on the individual or company, often personally.
- Once served, the individual or company has 21 days to either pay the demand or reach an agreement to pay.
- If the individual or company fails to respond, and does not intend to challenge the use or the content of a Statutory Demand, you can then apply to bankrupt the individual or wind up the company.
I have extensive experience of using Statutory Demands to recover undisputed debts, and they can be an efficient debt recovery tool if prepared and served correctly.
If you have any unpaid debts and think that a Statutory Demand may be suitable to recover the sum/s, please let me know and I would be happy to assist you.

Businesses can sometimes get carried away with obtaining and preserving new customer contracts, that they forget to prioritise key aspects of their own business, such as maintaining good cash flow.
Cash flow is and has to be a significant priority for all businesses, especially in the current economic climate.
