Abolish The Welsh Assembly Party believes that the Welsh Assembly, now called Senedd, has made Wales worse off while enriching its politicians.

It is also destroying the UK Union. It needs to be abolished by voting for us in the 2026 Senedd Elections.

Andrew RT Davies: Senedd Tory leader must go, says ex-Boris Johnson aide 04/09/2024

Perhaps they should replace him with someone who actually campaigns to Abolish the Senedd rather than feed from its trough indefinitely?🤔

David TC Davies: Ex-Welsh secretary working for Laura Anne Jones 02/09/2024

This is why none of the major political parties want the Senedd abolished. Jobs for the boys/girls.

One big gravy train upon which they are all on-board.

We are changing this page again, ready for the 2026 Senedd elections. The name will change to Abolish The Senedd 2026 - it takes a few days to update.

We are strengthening our campaign as we have no doubt that the Labour Government will make the same mess of the UK as it has done in Wales and so is not likely to last more than 1 term.

We must prepare the groundwork for the Abolition of the Senedd now as all of the major political parties are enjoying the gravy train at tax payers expense and need to be shown there is an alternative future for Wales.

When you look at the failing businesses in Wales and those not even attempting to come here, you can see how appalling it is that the Senedd has agreed to increase its numbers by another 36 at a cost to the welsh taxpayer of over £10 million p.a.

Its Health, Education, Roads and Businesses we need in Wales not more politicians.

Welsh restaurants will be £thousands worse off than English ones 26/03/2024

One of my greatest concerns for Wales and the way it is governed, is the complete lack of understanding those in the Senedd have about business and attracting inward investment.

Here is another example of that failing:

Welsh restaurants will be £thousands worse off than English ones 'We are sleepwalking into disaster. This is the difference between life and death for a lot of businesses.'

What a $1 deal says about America's office market 10/03/2024

Whilst this article is about the USA it harbingers a serious warning to us here in the UK.

With the advent of Ai and working from home trends the situation will get worse. Our politicians are doing nothing about it and i guess don't know what to do about it. Using the correct pronoun seems more important than saving and developing our industries and businesses.

The years ahead will see a dramatic decline in those roles that can be replaced by super computers utilizing Ai and blockchain technology.

Our high streets and commercial centres are dying and the future looks ever more bleak for those too old or too uneducated to adapt and our Governments are doing little about it to prepare us for this pending metamorphosis

What a $1 deal says about America's office market The US is facing an office property "apocalypse", which is creating worries around the world.

Budget 2024: Good news for middle-income families and bad news for va**rs, smokers and landlords - main points 06/03/2024

This is a reasonable summary of today's budget. Good news re National Insurance Contributions and incentives to invest in British firms. Raising VAT threshold helps small businesses a little and inward investment into the UK could prove promising.

With us being in an election year I did expect more giveaways but with public sector borrowing so high, it makes sense to temper spending.

With the FTSE index down 3% over the last year I can see why the Chancellor is introducing a new ISA to invest in British equities especially when US markets are up 16% - 37% on the major exchanges.

Budget 2024: Good news for middle-income families and bad news for va**rs, smokers and landlords - main points Here are the main points outlined by Jeremy Hunt to MPs as part of what is expected to be the final budget before the election.

Cardiff brewery Brains recovers from debt after Covid 04/12/2023

Although his corrective actions have had a devastating effect on staffing levels (reducing from 1600 to 30), Chief Executive Jon Bridge should be congratulated on turning the company around and repaying considerable debts.

Faced with such adverse odds, many business leaders would have just given up and closed.

I shall be watching to see how Brains Brewery now matures and expands its reach. Its not going to be an easy path to tread.

Schools in Wales expected to fall further in latest global rankings 03/12/2023

One of the key foundations required for a successful economy is a highly educated and trained work-force. Unfortunately, Wales consistently falls down in this area and then wonders why our economic prosperity is so limited.

Perhaps those in power making these decisions have their priorites set in the wrong direction?

Former Chancellor Alistair Darling dies aged 70 30/11/2023

I remember Alistair Darling when he was a relatively unknown politician in the early 1990's. He attended a small seminar I helped organise on the "Lessons of Black Monday" (1987 Stock Market Crash). I have to admit, out of all of the politicians who attended that briefing he was the one I was most impressed with (and I was a Conservative activist at the time) asking cogent and intelligent financial and economic questions. It came as no surprise to me that he eventually became Chancellor of the Exchequer.

My Condolences go out to his family and friends. R.I.P.

UK consumer confidence jumps despite lingering inflation pain 26/11/2023

UK inflation for October 2023 was reported at 4.6% down from a peak of 11.1% in October 2022. Consumer confidence is also improving though unfortunately we do not feel this effect in Wales.

UK consumer confidence jumps despite lingering inflation pain British consumers have turned more optimistic about the outlook for the economy and their personal finances this month but their mood remains a long way off pre-COVID levels, market research firm GfK said on Friday.

Energy price cap will rise in January adding pressure on households 25/11/2023

To get our economy moving we need to lower energy prices not increase them. The Government should look at all forms of energy provision and not be blinded and corralled into what is popular at the time.

Admittedly we are to a large degree at the mercy of geopolitical events which makes it even more urgent that we aim for energy independence. This means we should be grown up enough to discuss logically and without emotive behaviour, all sources of energy production open to us.

The alternative is higher inflation than is necessary and being held hostage to those upon whom we depend for our energy priovision.

Energy price cap will rise in January adding pressure on households A new domestic energy price cap has been announced leading to higher bills for millions.

Welsh councils could face bankruptcy, leaders warn 20/11/2023

The more tiers of Government and bureaucracy you have the less there is to spend on the needs of the people. We also have to take into account the fecklessness of the Assembly in what it decides to squander our taxes on.
