What a day!
The rugby season was kicked off in style as both our 3s and 4s came out on top.

Thank you to everyone that came down to support the lads.

They forgot to add our 3s and 4s matches... 🤦‍♂️

Oh, what a weekend of rugby 😍

These are just some of the big international clashes taking place this weekend. Who are you backing?

And just like that, the rugby season is back!
We have 2 of the 3 social sides playing tomorrow, and to top it off, they're both at home.

Our 3s will host Vale of Lune 2s.
Our 4s will host Aspull 2s.
Both kick off at 3pm.

The weather is looking good, so please get down and cheer the lads on.

Just 1 more training session before the season kicks off on Saturday.
If you're looking to get back into rugby, or try it for the first time, come down and get stuck in.
Training is every Tuesday and Thursday. 7pm - 8pm

We had a great trip to Bury RUFC yesterday.
It was a tough afternoon, with a few bits to work on, but we took away a lot of positive.
Everyone put in a shift and gave it their all.

Thanks to Bury for being great hosts.
That chilli hit the spot 👌

We're looking forward to this one.
We'll have a good mix of experienced players, returning players, and a few new ones too.

After a great session on Tuesday, we'll be looking to carry on strong, ready for our pre-season friendly against Bury RUFC this weekend.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, 7pm - 8pm ish.
We'll be on the grass pitches at the back of the club.

Enjoy those bbq's today, and eat as much as you can.
Because tomorrow you can burn it all off at Social Rugby training.

It was a great start, welcoming back some familiar faces but also new ones.
We're currently training on Monday nights, 7pm - 9pm.

Our 4s will host Clitheroe Rugby Union Football Club 2s.

It's cup weekend and unfortunately, we only have 1 team left in the competitions.
Our 3s will be hosting Rochdale 2s.

But, just because our 4s and 5s don't have an official game, that doesn't mean they're not in action.
We will be hosting a 'friendly' against local rivals Fylde Social Rugby - Saracens & Vandals.

Kick offs 2.15pm.
All support welcome, so make a day of it.

Unfortunately, our 5ths game away at Ormskirk Rugby Club has been cancelled.
If you were heading to support the lads, thank you, but you can put your feet up at home instead.

Just the 1 game this weekend for the social sides... if the pitch is playable.
Our 5ths will make the trip to Ormskirk Rugby Club to face their 2s.

Kick off is 2.15pm.

Our social teams have a day off from league action, so we will be hosting a friendly against The University of Central Lancashire - UCLan 's rugby team.

A clean sweep for the social sides and 5 wins across the club.

It's game day!

We're ready to put all that turkey to good use tomorrow.
We have all 3 social sides in action.
Our 3s will be at home and will host Birkenhead Park Rugby Club 2s.
It's close in the mid-table, so a win here good have the boys climbing a couple places.

Our 4s will travel down the road to face Fylde RFC 4s (3s).
The lads will be looking to start 2024 as they finished 2023... 100% record.

Our 5ths will make the short trip to Ormskirk Rugby Club to face their 2s.
Our 5ths are currently 2nd in the table, and we're sure they'll want to keep it that way tomorrow!

Thank you and well done to everyone involved in the Boxing Day charity game.
We raised just over £1000 for the Blue Flamingo Cafe.

Thank you to for raising awareness and much needed donations for us on Boxing Day. They raised an incredible £1,051.74! Thank you to Jason Shadwell for organising the raffle and taking the lead in organising the fundraiser and thanks to Mark Singleton for selling over 600 raffle tickets! Thank you, also, to all of the members who supported us.

In addition to helping raise money to help our cause, Grasshoppers support us by hosting our sessions once a month, where we offer lunch and refreshments, provide activities, and have a sing-along.

We strongly believe that groups like ours offer a vital service in helping people in our community who are living with dementia or some other form of cognitive impairment and those that care for them. People say we're a "lifeline" which is something we're very proud of. We wouldn't be able to do this without support from the wider community or the dedicated volunteers. Thank you.
