These figures aren't all that surprising to be honest. We all know the market was bonkers after the first lockdown, largely due to the stamp duty holiday and a huge surge in demand including seperations/ divorces, people moving in and out of the area and upsizers. 😊 Yet during this period, it was very tricky to find a property if you came with a chain as there was so much competition from first time buyers or those who'd moved into temporary accomodation. 🤨 Raising interest rates and the cost of living crisis certainly stunted the market and there were less people moving, mostly only if they really needed to. 😞 However the good news is, across the country, we can clearly see improvements in the number of people moving as there have already been more sales completed this year compared to last year. 😍 Most importantly, the confidence of buyers seems to be returning and we are seeing more and more people move becuase they want to, not just becuase they need to. 😁 Got a question or a comment, pop it below ❓⬇️
