Yuna Village Pleaded Apolitical Appointment of Alkalo

Yuna community, a village that has recently lost its Alkalo through death, pleaded with the government to allow villagers to choose their late Alkalo's successor.

It could be recalled that both Amadou Bah and Binta Bah have received appointment letters to the throne. These two shared the same father and mother.

However, this medium gauges the opinions of the villagers about these two appointees. Most of the people we spoke to rally their support behind Binta Bah, who had been struggling with the late Alkalo since he was alive.

They said Binta Bah the eldest daughter of Alikalo Juldeh Bah knew about the village to her fingertips, she is very hardworking and very principle lady who can't be used by hungry land butchers thus hiding behind Amadou Bah to continue exploiting their dubious behaviors in Yuna, Binta counterpart Amadou Ba had never been living in the village with his two wives.
"Someone is causing confusion between this two siblings for his own personal desperate selfish interest so that if the two sisters fail to unite he would get the chance to get the position"

The majority of them accused the government of undermining the efforts of women in leadership positions and politicising this whole show.

Molze Involved in car accident

The Car crash

It has been confirmed that Molamin Jallow (Molze) is one of the victims involved in the serious car crash that was reported on the Bertil Harding Highway yesterday Friday night

Molze is a rising Gambian artist that is making wave on all social media platform, his song titled (Wurus) is one of the top trending song in Gambia right now.

Molze and two of his friends are in critical condition right now, an Aye witness reported that the accident happened due to 'excessive speed.

Molze was supposed to go to Norway 🇳🇴 for a Debut performance this August.

Significant Theft Reported by Alagie Yusuf: Suspect Detained

In an interview with N24 Radio's "Banco Nbe La Cancha" program aired every Sunday, Alagie Yusuf Camara reported a significant theft from his home.
The incident occurred after Yusuf returned from a trip to the village on Tuesday.
Then on Thursday, while he was out with his car, a suspect allegedly entered his room, opened his suitcase, and stole all his money. Yusuf claims he has never seen the suspect named Maimuna Gibba in his house but often sees her around the area.

Initially, Yusuf suspected another individual and took her to the police, but she was released due to a lack of evidence.
The police then requested the serial number of Yusuf's stolen phone. By Friday, the phone's tracking revealed it was in Badibou Kerewan. On Saturday, Yusuf received a call that the suspect had been arrested.
On Sunday, Yusuf took a trip to Kerewan and brought the suspect to Bundung Police Station, where she was detained.

During the interrogation, the suspect initially claimed her son found the phone and brought it to her. However, when she was quizzed further, she admitted her daughter called her, and they met at Barra, where she received the phone and collected 50,000 Dalasis from her daughter.
Additionally, the suspect's daughter had sent her 25,000 Dalasis via Wave.

Yusuf informed the police that the total amount stolen was 65,000 US dollars and 53,000 Euros.
Upon further investigation, Yusuf realized that two individuals had already collected part of the stolen money, amounting to 31,000 Euros, leaving a total loss of 87,000 Euros.

The police demanded the suspect return the money. She admitted to spending 300,000 Dalasis but agreed to return 25,000 Dalasis and the remaining Euros. During an attempt to give her uncle the remaining money, the police arrested her again and found 40,000 Euros in her possession, leaving 13,000 Euros still missing.

The police continue to search for the missing 16,000 dollars. Yusuf praised the police for their dedication to the case, noting they worked tirelessly throughout the night.
They also arrested the suspect’s friends, whom she allegedly bought phones for from the stolen money.

In a conversation with the suspect, Yusuf asked how she entered his house.
She explained that while traveling from Brikama to Westfield, she saw the building and decided to steal when she saw Yusuf’s children washing at the tap. She found the key to Yusuf’s room and, subsequently, the key to his suitcase.

The police continue their investigation, working to recover the remaining stolen money.
According to Alagie Camara, the suspect Maimuna, initially gave her stepfather 10,000 Dalasis, but when the matter was reported to the police, the stepfather returned the money to the police station.

The Gambia Police Force is deeply saddened to announce the untimely demise of our colleague, Corporal Mikail Jallow, who was stationed with the Presidential Guard. He tragically passed away in a fatal accident involving one of the advance team vehicles of the Presidential convoy while on tour on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Corporal Jallow was laid to rest in his hometown of Nyoro Jataba on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

We join his family and loved ones in mourning his loss and paying our last respects to a devoted and brave officer.

Senegal’s Airport Closes Due To Plane Accident

Senegal’s Airport Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) in Diass has been closed for several hours with many flights cancelled and some diverted to Banjul (Gambia) due to the engine of a plane catching fire as it missed takeoff, causing four to be seriously injured including the co-pilot.

According to our information, the accident happened on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, shortly after 1 hour when the engine of Transair plane, chartered by Air Senegal caught fire during the pilot’s second attempt to take-off as the Plane was leaving for bamako.

The flight had 183 passengers; who were evacuated via the aircraft’s slides and taken care of at the level of the pilgrims’ hangar.

In Mandinary, this married man was caught red-handed having s€x with a nonverbal 16-year-old girl with autism.

He was apprehended and handed over to Mandinary Police.

S€x with a minor (or anyone below the age of 18) is prohibited in The Gambia, even if the s€x was consensual and even if it was initiated by the minor.

The man will be charged with r**e and might spend the rest of his life in prison.

Kelefa had a great History of conquering all Fulani kingdoms in the ancient Kingdoms of the Great Kabu Empire which includes part of the Gambia, Senegal, and two Guineas of West Africa.

Warrior Kelefa Sanneh belongs to the classical clan of The Kaabu Nyanchoo Chambers who fought for Kaabu Kings to capture and conquer foreign kingdoms and forced other foreign Fulani kingdoms to pay homages and taxes to the King they fought for after already conquering them.

Kelefa Sanneh is a common name of The then Kaabu History of kings and warriors who fought for the building and expansion of territories of Kingdoms conquered and captured.
