IMPORTANT NOTICE for those using the M4 to get to Reading Amateur Regatta this weekend:

Planned closure on the M4 between J12 and J11 from 9pm Friday to 6am Monday creating heavy traffic coming in to Reading from the West. Trailers can be dropped off on Friday at 3pm or 730pm email [email protected] to book in advance.

Please make sure all crews and spectators are aware and get here in time - the draw is packed and we will not be able to shuffle to accommodate any late arrivals.
We are 16 min walk 11 min bus from Reading train station.

Every year the committee is humbled by the number of entries and the distance that people are prepared to travel to race on our beautiful stretch of the river Thames in Reading. 🙏

What a fantastic initiative. 👏

This year, we saw the inaugural Youth Boat Race, an event inspired by The Gemini Boat Race and supported by The Boat Race Fund and Fulham Reach Boat Club.

The Youth Boat Race 2024 saw young rowers from seven local schools in the West London area compete on the iconic Boat Race course in octuple sculls.

As with so many other stretches of our waterways, Reading has been hit by the recent flooding.
We hope everyone remains safe and offer our sympathy to all those who have been adversely affected by the high water levels.

And most importantly the Bar is open!

Who's getting ready for Henley Royal Regatta 2023? 🙋‍♀️

Good luck to EVERYONE competing at Henley Women's Regatta today and this coming weekend.
But especially to Reading's adopted sculler competing for Brisbane... 😜

The Regatta Committee would like to thank everyone who played a part in the 2023 Reading Amateur Regatta.
The weekend racing programme was full with approximately 200 races on both Saturday and Sunday. While the weather on Saturday was excellent and the racing programme was completed in full, due to the dangerous weather conditions on Sunday afternoon, regrettably, the Regatta had to be stopped early to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
While no finals were run in the Sunday afternoon division, the results of all completed races are available on our website:
