Fit over 40

Hi, I am a mother of 2 and nana of 1, dog mum of 2 and wifey to my first love. I have been a hairdresser for 25 years. Bloody hell typing that makes me realise how old I am!!! Anyway................ Whilst running my salon and looking after children, I have always tried to look after myself. And because I was so busy and lacked confidence I liked to work out from home. I would get up in the morning an hour earlier than the kids and that would be MY time, my time to do what I wanted with no guilt or pressure for looking after myself. After all if I’m not in good health then how was I going to keep up with the kids.

I have trained in kettlebell group fitness classes, exercise to music and exercise referral. I have also qualified in physical activity and weight management for people living with obesity and diabetes , with my own mum struggling with this all her adult life (the diabetes coming later in life) it is very close to my heart and I helped her lose 4 and a half stone and put her diabetes into remission when she lived with me for a few months.

I love to help people get fitter and heather. Mind body and soul which is why I did the exercise referral program to help people who may have health issues such as depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, obesity etc. I love to help people turn their lives round and fitness can be a big part of that. As someone with low confidence to now being able to teach classes in front of people is massive for me and it is doing the exercises over the years that has really helped me. If I can do it anyone can.

So if your ready to start your fitness journey and need help and have little time. I’m here to help with home workout programs that start off at a very low impact level but will still have you sweating and out of breath. With tips and trick on healthy eating and making sure you are looking after your diabetes too.
