Honour
1. Play honest. Safety
1. General
1.
Cheating in any form is not permitted. Those found cheating will lose themselves/teammates points and/or could be asked to leave the game.
2. We play the 'Rule of Cool', if you are hit then own up to it, place your hand in the air and leave the game or respawn.
3. It is possible to contest a hit/point, however the Wardens decision is final.
4. Failure to wear eye protection correctly may cause you
to be asked to leave the game.
5. Do not step out of the battle zone limits, failure to comply can result in loss of points and/or disqualification.
6. If another player says you are hit take their word for it as you may not have felt it. If you are not sure if you hit an opponent then do not call it a hit.
7. Lives/damage/wounds are dependent on game type/scenario. Being hit could mean an opponent has scored a point, wounded you, taken one of your lives/hit-points, incapacitated you, caused you to respawn or eliminated you from the game. Eye protection (goggles/mask) must be worn at ALL times when either playing or in the same room as a Nerf Wars Activity.
2. No intentional face shots from close range. If close to a target then shoot at either the body, arms or legs.
3. No physical contact with any other player. No pushing, pulling, wrestling or hitting etc.
4. No melee weapons to be included in the Nerf Wars activities. (Currently we do not use melee weapons such as swords or axes in the games).
5. Only blasters sanctioned and approved by the Youth Workers/Wardens may be used in the Nerf Wars.
6. Modified Blasters are banned from being used on site on in games unless previously arranged and agreed upon.
7. Barricades are only to shield you from being hit by darts, they are not to be moved, climbed on or thrown at any times. You may be asked to help move barricades or equipment but only by a Youth Worker/Warden.
8. A safety/game briefing will be carried out prior to each game, please listen to ensure everyone is safe and knows what the game rules are. If you are unsure ask questions after the briefing. Only approve ammo blasters and equipment to be used at these events.
2. Extra shielding and armour is optional and will be permitted according to the discretion of the attending Wardens (as long as eyewear is included).
3. Do not throw or drop any blasters or pieces of equipment (shields, bandoliers, flags, cases etc) onto the floor as this damages them and can affect gameplay. The same goes for darts/ammo, do not throw them or stand on them as this damages them.
4. Do not use any damaged equipment, ammo or blasters. If your blaster jams during a battle raise your hand and a Warden will move to you. If you stand up and are hit you are subject to the rules of that game. A warden will either un-jam your blaster or provide you with a secondary blaster until the end of the game.
5. Ensure you load your blaster/magazine correctly with the correct amount of darts. Failure to do so can cause blasters to jam or misfire.
6. Listen to the safety/game briefing prior to each game, failure to listen can lead to loss of points and/or expulsion from the game. Current Game types/scenarios
