Gorgeous George's Neuroblastoma journey

Hi Everyone,

On May 11th myself and my lovely husband Martyn Brown are going to walk up scafell pike to help try and raise important funds For Amelia,

As a lot of you know the diagnosis of Neuroblastoma is very close to our hearts, I could never imagine what it must feel like to have to raise such an enormous amount of money to try and save your child’s life!

But what I do know is that I would anything in my power to make it happen and that is exactly what Amelia’s mum is trying to do.

We personally couldn’t just sit here and not do anything, this challenge to some might not be big but to me it is a challenge, but what I will face will be nothing to what this little girl and her family are going to have to go through over the next few months.

Wow that was a long day today, George has been checked and the Dr is still very happy she has collected another urine sample to check the cancer levels and we had a chest X-ray to just double check all was okay there.
Scans are booked in for November…

UPDATE…

leading up today myself and George’s Dad have really struggled with our nerves and anxiety. last week it really was 50/50 if George would have to go back on to treatment.

Today we can finally breath and share with you that once again our little boy has been so strong and still carries on to live with this disease!
We did see some growth in the nodes in his neck, chest and abdomen. The PET scan did show some extra activity in the neck and abdomen but had reduced in the chest.
Moving forward with George the only real test they are going to use is how George is doing clinically and we will follow his lead and our gut instinct.
It is a hard pill to swallow that our beautiful boy has to live with this horrible disease but WOW how amazing that such a small, courageous boy can do such a thing 🤩

We can no relax for the next 6 months and enjoy all the amazing things to come.
Thank you again to everyone that still supports George and shows us all so much love ❤️

This handsome boy is having to go for further investigations today. we are off to QE for a PET scan 😔 please keep your positivity coming as we wait for the results.

6 months goes by so fast 😔 it’s time again for routine scans, these really don’t get any easier and the worry is still very raw.
The next couple couple of weeks will be very anxious as we await the results.

George did so good yesterday 🥰 from being starved since 09:45, he didn’t go down till 16:15 he was incredible and you make us so proud…. We now wait for our appointment on the 5the December. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
