We had some very special visitors today 🦆
The children loved meeting the ducklings and had the chance to pet them!

Another fun-filled week with a roar-some theme!

We've enjoyed dinosaur digs, arts and crafts and some egg cracking to free our dino friends!

We had a lovely day yesterday at a sand and water park. The little ones tested out their gross and fine motor skills on the play equipment and playing in the sand.

We made some new friends and in the afternoon had a bubble table where we made our own bubble wands and potions.☀️

We've had a busy couple of weeks getting close to nature, exploring how we can look after ourselves in the changing weather, setting up our own icecream shop and celebrating birthdays with our friends.

I am forever grateful to work with these lovely little people 😊

This week we have been reading The Hungry Caterpillar and talking about healthy foods.

The children have helped prepare fruit muffins, smoothies and enjoyed our caterpillar tuff tray.

We had a beautiful week expanding our learning with the theme of dinosaurs 🦕

We had a lovely walk around Irchester Country Park practicing our gross motor skills as well as some different sensory tuff trays and arts and crafts throughout the week.

The children loved a variety of spring and Easter activities, including some arts and crafts, bouquet making and messy play.

We had a busy few weeks in March, with plenty of gardening, messy play and outdoor adventures!

We have had an amazing day out at the farm today 🐄

The little ones enjoyed meeting the animals, feeding the new pygmy goats and cows and jumping in muddy puddles!

We've had a wonderful half term this week!

The older children have been tackling the Maths Money Challenge with different games and exercises as well as joining in with free play with the younger ones.
We have also enjoyed exploring Irchester Country Park and been busy with arts and crafts, baking and a spot of gardening to grow some vegetables!

A busy week for all 😴

The little ones enjoying the toys and activities set out at our local library for their Story Explorers. Definitely recommend Rushden Library and their weekly groups and events!

Happy Number Day!

Today the little ones have enjoyed some number nursery rhymes, puzzles, colouring number blocks and developing our counting, number recognition as well as exploring colour and shapes

The past few weeks have been fun filled and jam packed from junk modelling, sowing some vegetable seeds, baking and plenty of messy play and arts and crafts.

We've explored local parks, messy play groups and our local library.

We have been looking after our bodies with healthy eating, exploring outdoors and exercising with a daily boogie!

We've had another lovely week of Christmas crafts, music, stories and more.

The little ones have enjoyed messy and sensory play and books such as "Dear Santa" and "We're going on an Elf Chase".

It's been a great week in the countdown to Christmas! 🎄

The little ones have had a busy couple of weeks enjoying the Christmas crafts, decorating the tree and making magic reindeer food!

We enjoyed a little boogie with some Christmas songs and experimented making snowmen with playdoh!

Today the little ones explored the great outdoors and visited our local library.

We had a lovely day out choosing new books to read, sight seeing around town and even having a little treat in the warm.

We've been expanding our development in many key areas and having plenty of fun along the way!

This week we prepared for Diwali, the festival of light.

We read some books on Diwali, decorated some lanterns and the little ones even tried some Indian food.

We've had a lovely week looking at other cultures traditions at this time and being creative with colours and shapes.

This week we have been looking at fireworks.

We have explored sounds with the musical instruments as well as colours and shapes with our building blocks.

The children enjoyed creating their own firework pictures with paints.

With Halloween not far away, our little ones have been busy this week with lots of spooky crafts.
Including pumpkin painting, Halloween wreath decorating and cooking up a bubbly witches brew!

Our younger ones have enjoyed the sensory trays, painting and feeding our monster.

A lovely week had by all

Our topic has been Travel and Transport where the children have been exploring natural resources and playing with various vehicles and modes of transport.

We have been reading stories of travelling and even discussed different countries around the world including the animals that live there, how we could get there and which countries are hot and cold.

This morning the little ones will be exploring colours, textures and shapes and practicing their fine motor skills with our autumn tuff tray

This week we have been discussing Autumn and all the beautiful things it brings!
The little ones have enjoyed using autumnal colours to decorate our hedgehogs with finger painting.

We then set outside to play and harvest some potatoes from our vegetable patch.

Today the little ones explored our sensory farm. They enjoyed using the diggers, spotting the different animals and their sounds and moving the different materials with the tractors and diggers. 🐄🐖
