This weekend some of our cadets had a fantastic time out on the water supporting a group of Sea Cadet paddlesport instructors who were being assessed for their Paddlesport Leader qualification. The cadets acted as guinea pig students for the instructors throughout the weekend, which included a couple of journeys on the River Nene and in the open water environment of the lake in some relatively challenging conditions. They also needed to capsize (intentionally) to test the instructors’ rescue skills - we are so proud of them for getting stuck in with huge smiles on their faces, demonstrating the real spirit of Sea Cadets.
