Hitting you up with another before and after. This french dressing screen has been a real labour of love.
When I picked it up it had had a bit of a dodgy white paint job. I wanted to strip it back to natural cane and wood, but the process would have damaged the cane beyond repair, so the only option I had was to paint it up.
I painted the frame in matt black and tried a few borrowed and now learnt skills to try and make the cane panel look like natural cane, using a mix of paints and waxes. The result is a vintage aged cane look. Personally I love it and if I had the room in my home for it, I would probably keep it. 🤩

In light of it being transformation Tuesday I thought I would treat you to a little before & after.
This veneer record cabinet has been time stakingly upcycled using a zinnser primer and french chic jack black. The draws have been lined with a gold weave vinyl and the original handles and record bars have been cleaned up and kept. This item is available to view & purchase at Studio no9 in the Emporium M33.
