Tonight we take on Wythenshawe Amateurs Reserves in the Altrincham Senior Cup final!

Get down to Ericstan stadium & support the lads! Entry is £2.50 on the gate if you don’t have a ticket!!

⚽️🏆Over 35’s Vets Result🏆⚽️

Our Over 35’s team also got off to another great start in their 2nd game of the season, after scoring 5 last week.. there was another 4 goals added to their goal tally this week and another 3 points added⚽️

The result leaves our over 35 vets team 2nd in the league after 2 wins from 2 with only a 2 goal, goal difference between 1st and 2nd.. still a long way to go but good signs for the start of the season so far⚽️⚽️⚪️⚫️

Our Over 35’s next fixture is 16/10 where we will host Unicorn Athletic at Crossford Bridge⚽️

⚽️Reserve Team Match Result⚽️

After losing quite a lot of faces over the summer.. our Reserve team picked up their first point of the season in their first game this previous weekend with a 1-1 draw with Bolton County Res, with a lot of new faces there can only be positives to take from this and built on going into next week.. Once the lads start gelling together the goals and wins will be flying in, in no time⚽️⚽️⚪️⚫️

We travel to Atherton Town A next week in our next Manchester League fixture⚽️

Our First team picked up their first 3 points of the season yesterday with a good performance from the lads!! Our first goal coming from a ball in behind which found David Drinkwater] who calmly slotted past the keeper to make it 1-0.. our 2nd goal came 10 minutes later.. where a quality ball from a free kick was played into the box and again David Drinkwater] determined to get infront of his man.. got on the end of it and with a quality header steered the ball into the far corner making it 2-0!!

Our 3rd goal came in the last couple of minutes of the game after a bundle of chances hitting the bar and post.. another free kick was played into the box where the flick on found the big skipper who calmly headed home to make it 3-2 to the Alts⚽️⚽️

We go again next week in Cheshire cup action at Home!!⚽️⚪️⚫️

Our man of the match from our last game against Rochdale sacred heart was … as always he was dominant in the midfield and provided a quality assist for our goal! We’re sure it will be another top performance from him in todays game⚽️

With a tough draw last week, the lads will be looking to pick up their first 3 points of the season, although our opponents will be looking to bounce straight back from a loss and will also be fighting for 3 points in what is due to be a tough but great game⚽️

Late post from our weekends game but.. Man of the Match for the match against goes to moving from his regular position into holding midfield he adjusted easily and very well and was a stronghold in the midfield all game, cutting out plenty of balls and even could of got on the scoresheet himself! ⚽️

We are sure this performance will be taken straight into the next game against Heyside Fc this upcoming Saturday! 🏆⚽️

In our first home game of the season yesterday the score ended up being frustratingly honours evens with a 2-2 draw at Crossford Bridge against .. with a handful of missed chances from the lads the scoreline could of been different on another day!

Although the lads should build Confidence going into our next game from this performance especially in the 2nd half with lots of positives to take from the game!

Our first team season begins again tomorrow as we travel to in the Manchester Premier Division in what is always a tough game away from home for the lads!!

We look forward to getting the season finally back underway and hopefully starting with a good result against a very good side⚽️

Our Old Alts Vets team are hosting in a charity match on Sunday 14th August at Crossford Bridge to support 2 small charities very close to both teams, INFACT and Friends of Frankie!

The day will be full of fun activities for children and families and all are welcome to come down and support these 2 amazing charities and teams!

Admission will be from 10AM and kick off for the match will be 11AM! If you do fancy a family day out on the day, come and join us and don’t miss out on the fun!

Our 2nd Pre Season friendly takes place this evening as we renew old rivalries & host a Res/XI side at Crossford Bridge! 7PM Kick Off⚽️

There is also another pre season training session for any new players that would like to come down and get involved! 6.30PM at Crossford Bridge⚽️

Yesterday we played host in our first Pre Season match v Avro Football Club Reserves.. falling to a 2-1 defeat against a good side!

With a lot of new faces in our squad there were a lot of positives to take and on another day with chances taken, the scoreline would of been different!

But with this being the first friendly for the lads to gel together as a team and find their feet, there were things to build on and signs of improvement over the next few friendlies looks promising!
