We are pleased to announce the addition of Steak Rolls to our packages.

These are cooked at the event, sliced, and served in a roll with onions and a pepper & onion beef gravy or a choice of sauces/mustard.

Ideal for smaller events where a Hog Roast may provide more servings than is necessary.

With thanks to the Butcher's Block in Fairoak for providing the delicious Steaks. Perfectly cut and full of flavour!

Here are some commonly asked Q&Aโ€™s;

How many people can a Hog Roast feed?
Each machine can cook a Hog Roast potentially feeding upto 200 guests. We can cater for numbers less or more.

How long do you cook the meat for?
8-10 hours on a low heat depending on weight.

What do you use in the cooking process?
We use rapeseed oil and sea salt, nothing else is used or needed to get the best flavours and crackling.

Where do you source your meat from?
We use a couple of different farms locally. We try to source free range where possible.

What type of venues can you work from?
We can work from most outdoor venues, from weddings in fields to customers own gardens and everything in between. We do not need access to external power if the venue does not have the facility to provide this.

How do your machines cook the Hog Roast and are they portable?
They are heated by gas and the rotisserie operates by mains electric. The machines are on wheels and can be manoeuvred into most places, however, due to the weights involved, they can only be lifted over very small obstacles or up small elevations. We can not carry them up stairs. They will fit through an average width garden gate. If you are unsure we can provide accurate measurements.

Do you price per head?
Due to the nature of the catering we do, and the weights required to match the number of guests, we provide a complete package price on request based on requirements.

How far do you travel?
Due to starting the cooking process prior to travelling to the venue (and maintaining a safe temperature), we can usually only travel for a maximum of 1 hour.

Do you provide other services?
At the moment, we concentrate on what we do best which is Spit Roasts (Lamb or Pork). This may well change in the near future.

What happens to any leftovers?
Any meat/rolls etc are offered to the client unless not required.

Do you offer gluten free rolls?
We can provide gluten free rolls if requested.

Can you serve inside, such as a hall?
We prefer to serve outside as the machines do kick out a fair bit of heat, even when switched off, but we can serve inside providing the room is well ventilated and spaced out.

How long do you serve for?
Once the Hog Roast has been lifted out of the machine to its carving position, we allow a maximum of 2hrs to serve. This is to maintain a safe temperature and guarantee the quality.

Can we change the agreed serving time on the day of the event?
We can bring forward or delay the serving time by a maximum of + or - 30mins only. This is due to the cooking times and preservation of quality.

Do you need cover/power and how much space do you need?
We can provide our own cover and mobile power if requested. We require a level 8x8ft space to safely work from.

This weekend we supported Adams Morey at Thruxton for the truck racing. Breakfast for staff and customers on Saturday, followed by a Hog Roast in the evening. Then it was back to Thruxton Sunday morning to provide breakfast once again before heading home.
Fantastic weekend of racing, roll on next year!
