What's with all the fruit? We were cooking up a new warm up song at the weekend and a bit of inspo was needed!

Wow! A whole year has flown by since we performed At No 10's National Armed Forces Day Reception.

A brilliant day back at Pennard House with the and Song Writing Retreat. Thank you for the music, just so inspiring!

Our talented Choir members can turn their hands to a variety of things, but here's John just having a bit of fun - this is a huge part of what we do!

We don't just sing - here’s Darren from our Bass section who managed to smash his personal best at the British Championships and qualify for the Worlds. Just WOW!

🎉🏋️‍♂️ Huge congratulations to veteran Darren on his incredible achievement in powerlifting at the British Championships! 🥇🥇

Winning not just one, but TWO gold medals! 🎖️🎖️

Darren's journey hasn't been an easy one, he served our country for a remarkable 20 years before being medically discharged. Despite the challenges, he has continued to push himself and show us all what true resilience looks like. 💪

We'd like to say a HUGE thank you to The Limelight Orchestra for holding their incredible ‘Grateful’ concert to celebrate local heroes. 🎉

Not only did the renowned orchestra put on an EPIC show...
They also provided a fabulous stage for a veteran recovery activity with our Help for Heroes choir making a guest appearance. 🙌

Just amazing to perform on stage with The Limelight Orchestra & their superb soloists for two performances of the Concert in Nottingham at the weekend - and to pop up in the bar too!

We don't just sing - here’s Sue from our soprano section who managed to complete the Virtual this weekend – what a fabulous & inspirational achievement!

Brilliant rehearsal this weekend: energising warm ups, breath control with straws and lots of prep work for our upcoming concert (More details very soon)!

RIP Bryn

We are all deeply saddened by the death of our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE.

Without Bryn, this Charity wouldn't be here. Without him, over 27,000 veterans and their families wouldn't have received lifechanging support. Bryn was instrumental in changing the focus of the nation and the way we regard both military service and wounded veterans.

Those who knew and worked with Bryn saw at his core an incredibly kind, earnest, and passionate soul, whose energy was contagious. Supported, encouraged and advised by Emma, he was unstinting in his total, unwavering commitment to making the lives of the wounded servicemen and women as good as it could be.

Bryn’s founding principles and his no-nonsense approach of doing everything humanly possible to help our heroes, remain at the heart of all we do.

We offer our deepest sympathy and love to Emma, Sophie, Tom and Louisa. 💙

Have you ever wanted to be a sports coach? Are you interested in a new challenge within sport? Have you ever wanted to give back to your local community by supporting or leading sports sessions?

Help for Heroes Coaching Academy is re-launching, and we want you to be a part of it.

The Coaching Academy is a free 6-12 month sports coaching development programme available to eligible serving personnel and veterans. You will gain a coaching qualification in a sport of your choice and benefit from an additional coach education programme from UK Coaching.

The course consists of a mixture of face-to-face learning, online learning and coaching experience. The programme will begin in April.

We have been working on a new digital fitness product that would support Veterans alongside our sports, activity and fellowship programmes as well as to the wider population individuals living with physical disabilities or mobility issues to exercise more. Our aim is to take our expertise in adaptive fitness to a larger group of people many of whom say they would like to be more active but lack the opportunity to do so or feel like existing fitness solutions are just not designed with them in mind. The product would be paid for by the wider population to generate more funds to support Help for Heroes' services and offered for free for Help for Heroes beneficiaries.

We need your feedback to tell us if this fitness solution would be helpful to you! If you are living with a disability or mobility, looking to get more active and open to trying a new digital adaptive fitness solution, please help us by taking our 10-minute survey to give us feedback.
